Predict the WR Depth Chart

#61

Lee and Shorts will be the starters.

Sanders the slot guy.

Robinson will be there to give the starters a breather and in 4-wide sets.

And then Doss of course.

Looks like Brown will be cut.

There is so much wrong with this depth chart, it isn't even funny.

Reading comments it does seems as if Brown's chances are high of being cut, but watching last season I really felt as if he was improving and becoming a go to guy on some key plays.  I think Brown will bump Doss out.

In terms of snaps:

#1 Shorts

#2 Robinson

#3 Ace

#4 Lee

#5 Brown

I think Robinson and Brown will see a lot of snaps, while the combo of Ace, Shorts, and Lee will be rarely used in 3 WR sets.

Ace should be a nice surprise as he goes into his second year, a bit more polished than Lee.  This could all change as QB dynamics change or the season progresses.

I do think they'll keep 5 WR, with most people thinking the top four will be in some way Shorts/Sanders/Lee/Robinson.

My bubble guys are in order Brown/Taylor/Doss.  It's great to have 3 guys as your bubble players who have the ability to play ST as well.

90% of the time, in 3 wide sets, id bet money that it will be shorts, lee and robinson.

the most productive WR on the team who has led the team in catches the past 2 seasons and has also topped his career highs for catches in every season that hes played is slotted behind 2 unproven rookies.

lets take a look at new englands qb depth chart..... must be

1. garoppolo

2. brady

3. mallett

did i do that right?

Number 1 in the classical sense? No

Best WR on the roster by long chalk unless two rookies prove otherwise? Yeah and you would have to be blind/stupid/still hung-up on a drunk rant from 3 years ago to disagree.

thats the thing, he bashed shorts when we first drafted him so he is stuck with it. shorts could get voted to the pro bowl and have a 90 catch 15 TD season and TMD will still bash him. he made his bed and he has to lay in it.

well, the above comparison is stupid because Brady is proven to be elite.

Shorts is not proven to be "elite" SHorts is proven to be "okay" in this league, and the 2 WR we drafted have a MUCH higher pedigree than Shorts does. Garoppolo doesn't have a higher pedigree than Brady.

Keep trying though.

Not true at all.

If that ever happened (won't ever happen, lol) I'd gladly give Shorts his due.

As is, Shorts hasn't even amassed a single 1000 yard season yet. Or proven he can last a full 16 in the NFL without breaking down in some fashion.

Yet he still the best WR we have, therefore is #1 on the depth chart.
