Our last two games are against teams that realistically are expected to miss the playoffs.despite still being mathematically alive. One is a home game and the other is against the first team we beat this year.

 

I don't need any reminders about how awful the game in Nashville was. However, it is worth noting Gus Bradley was the HC and Greg Olson was the OC for that one. Could we play like a team that's trying to win on Saturday? Absolutely. Should we expect a more watchable game now that both Bradley and Olson are gone?

 

If we at least play like a team trying to win and keep it close against Tennessee, win or lose, I would expect another win against the Colts.

How funny will it be if this team just destroys the tacks and clots in back to back weeks in convincing fashion in every aspect of football? We finish 4 - 12. End the year on a two game win streak. Marrone is retained as the head coach like Mularkey was for the tacks and we move on from there.....

I'd be very curious where Bortles fits into that hypothetical scenario.  Given his play thus far, I can't imagine any way he strings together 4 quarters of solid football.  The Jags had nine first down conversions last week.  Nine.  Bortles was 9/28 for 92 yards and a pick.   Oooff.  

As much as I'd love to be able to conjure it, I can't see him getting on track this year.

 Considering that Tennessee is Jacksonville's # 1 historic rival,   I can imagine how good it would feel for you and countless other Jaguars fans if the Jags are the team that keeps Tennessee out of the playoffs.

  One added benefit if Tom Coughlin becomes the next Jaguars HC is he was a major part of the Jags rivalry with Tennessee.   TC can make sure that the Jaguars players he will be coaching will be well aware of the importance of the rivalry.   Mike Smith can provide this to a somewhat lesser extent.

Its been said already previously but Jags are playing bad not just b/c of Gus, see that guy out there number #5, 98% of games lost this year and last is on that guy, bad/good QB play is probably the most single important part of the game. Defense has played well enough to win many games especially in the AFC Suck, I mean South  :teehee:
