Jags invite Teddy for 2nd visit

My so off?

They need to decide. Do they wait and see if he falls, or do they like him enough that they try to get ahead of the Browns at 26, etc?

Quote:Rick Gosselin explains what teams are looking for:

But understand that the NFL draft is not about college production. It’s about a player’s measurables. It always has been and always will be. The NFL covets players who best fit the position prototypes, because having the ideal height, weight, strength and speed give them the best chance for success at the next level.

Given Bridgewater dropped to 188 during the course of last season, that's probably his biggest and most glaring weakness to NFL clubs. NFL is a big boys game that carries a significantly longer schedule. And that's before you even consider his accuracy (due to his prancing footwork, not driving off his back leg) and problems gripping the football without a WR glove.
Yeah...you don't regurgitate anything. My laugh warranted.

Your title of clown scout wannabe is warranted. That's just backing up what I posted myself, and have been saying for quite some time.

Unlike yourself, I didn't have to solely rely on them to come to my conclusion. I back up everything I say, unlike yourself and others. It's why I'm very confident in my opinion. Because, unlike yours, it's well founded and not rushed into. Unlike you, I take all things into consideration - both the good and the bad.

It would be very nice to be able to find him at our second round pick, or if it doesn't cost too much - be able to beat the Browns to him late in the first.

Nah, it just shows how much you follow the herd.

LOL...

If I followed the herd, I would have been with you on the now-derailed Ted Train from the beginning.

Do you realize how stupid this sounds every time you say it? The herd are those whose heads are spinning because they can't fathom Ted's easily understandable fall from grace. If I were the herd, you'd be in agreement.

Your grasp of what the herd is (or lack thereof) parallels your grasp of what a developmental QB is nicely.

With the deep draft, Caldwell's stated desire for more draft picks, and the many upgrade opportunities on this roster, I just don't see the Jags using picks to move up for Teddy. The scenario that best fits in my mind is if Caldwell trades back to garner more picks, and has the ability to pick up Teddy if he falls with a trade down scenario.

Man Bridgewater is a lightning rod on these boards.

If we trade down to 10 with DET, get an extra 2nd rounder and possibly a 5th/6th as well and still get Teddy I would be sooo happy.

I wouldn't say the teddy train is the herd but most of them are just loud. Just like the Manziel Maniacs. I'm on record saying I like Teddy but just don't get offended when others don't

It would be so much nicer if everyone were so level headed.

I don't know why exactly, but I respect Pirkster's opinions on these boards more than anybodys. I really do. He's tops for me.

That said tho, I do think this 2nd visit to JAx bodes well for Bridgewater. Jaguars brass wouldn't waste their time if they didn't like the guy/think he had some potential. Teddy's my second favorite QB in the draft and light-years ahead of every other QB after him IMO.

If Caldwell doesn't want Johnny, I certainly hope this second visit means they want Teddy.

I want 3 players. Clowney, Bridgewater, Manziel. Jaguars have the number 3 pick. Just give me one of those 3 at 3, and I'm happy.

He had new information about his bad Pro Day to share?

Pro Days mean nothing. The Combine means nothing.

Oh yeah? Look at all the wholesale changes to the mock drafts that take place every single year after the Combine and Pro Days are over.

I think if Clowney is gone and MAnziel is not Gus' guy, I'm totally happy pulling the trigger on Teddy at #3.

lol, I don't know how to use the search option good enough on these boards. But there's some thread from a month ago on here, I'm pretty sure Pirkster called me a troll. Personally, I don't think he likes me very much, lol. But I like his posts.
