 It's the type of team that would appeal to Los Angeles from the standpoint of big name players. 

 

 My impression of Los Angeles as a NFL market and as an overall sports town is that most fans idenity with star players,  much more so than the blue collar player that makes subtle differences in the success of a team.     Having said this,  once LA realizes that these type of players the Raiders are picking up have seen their better day,   empty seats would be the norm unless they start developing young big name talent.

 Oakland had a multitude of salary cap space going into this off-season.   The Raiders are giving the impression that they are using their salary cap space for no purposes other than putting together a team that would have been great in 2010 and for the sake of having to use their salary cap for the purposes of compliing with the NFL CBA.

 

  I can't recall a team using their salary cap space as foolishly as the Raiders have been using their cap space this off-season.   Even if the players they have been signing have a relatively good season,  most won't have much future value.   Also,  they are in a division with 3 teams that made the playoffs in 2013.    With Denver going for broke in the next season or two.

 

 

Agreed. At least the Raider nation now can't blame Al Davis for it all.

MJD was my favorite Jag.. But, as soon as he signs that dotted line in Oakland, he's officially the enemy.. He'll be missed as a Jag, but I hope he has a rotten season like i wish upon all enemies of the Jags..

He hasn't been the great runner he was in years, it was time for him to get out of Jax. I think he could of been productive with a team with a prolific passing game but Oakland? I don't expect him to do much there. Obviously, he just took what he could get. I don't think the jets or steelers were interested enough to actually pay him what he wanted.

I'm convinced that he fell out of favor with Mr. Khan over the holdout. Not because he held out but that he continued to do so long after the team made their intentions be known.

I still say its funny in  a way though. Here earlier this week on my madden game I trade MJD to the raiders for draft picks ,and now in real life he is a Raider. I know nither one has nothing to do with the other,but isn't that crazy man?
