Bortles pro day

Because as I mentioned earlier I don't think his is going to go well either. And it doesn't really matter for any of them in the long run.

It matters to their bank accounts

How was that performance even remotely close to a QB who is supposed to be a top 5 pick?  Bortles is the most overrated prospect in the entire draft.

No it doesn't. These guys were slotted in their draft positions by NFL front offices by what they did and have done on Saturday. Combine results and pro days aren't going to change that much. Usually when guys fall or rise from these events it is because of how they performed in interviews and not because of their workout numbers or lack thereof

This was the guy of the big 3 I was banking on?

He needs to work on his deep passes.  He hit on a couple, but seemed like he was just a little out of synch.

He seems to be somewhat of a long strider on his drops, although he does get back on his deep drops pretty quickly.

Short and intermediate passes, which are 99% of our offense, were fine.  The kid has good size, throws a decent deep ball (albeit not accurate), and can make all the throws required to run the Jags offense.  He's not perfect, and would need to develop, which is fine.  He did nothing to hurt his draft stock today, IMO.

Matt Ryan and Peyton Manning both had underwhelming pro days, your opinion is not valid

They all have issues

At this point I am either thinking get Mack or trade back for better value on Bridgewater or Bortles

Outside of "good size" the same can be said of TB and probably Johnny after his pro day. But like I have said about all three QBs is what i have in bold.....

Which is why I don't deem any of them top 5 worthy, and probably not top 10 worthy either.

I rolled on the floor laughing, With all those missed reads in the pocket Manziel had to improvise. If he had just stuck to the play book (or just be Teddy Bridgewater) A&M would have been in the National Title hunt late

Like I said in other posts, Bridgewater could be a really good value mid first round if theres a trade down (just not at 3). If not im still Watkins/ Mack (Clowney being there at 3 is looking less likely to happen now)

Nor do I.  I've made that assertion more than once.  However, odds are pretty good that the team is going to be looking at one of the 3.  That being said, I'd be more inclined to trade down a few spots and grab a guy like Bortles.  He's not waif thin like Bridgewater, and he's not a munchkin like Manziel.  He looks like he'd be someone who could be developed.

I find it funny that a Manziel fanboy in this thread is knocking him for struggling to throw the ball 60 yards.  In almost all of the deep passes he missed on, he overthrew his target.  So, if he's struggling, he can take a little off the ball and hit his targets just fine.  Of course, the number of 60 yard pass plays in the Fisch playbook probably account for 2 or 3 pages.

Yea, I am hopping on this train, only if we can't get Mack

I think the wr class might be too deep to draft Watkins 3rd, (unless the jags have confidence he can provide a megatron level impact)
