Does this bother anyone else?

Quote:Complete ignorance by a professional network of analyst? Calling possibly our worst player the past few years our best? Yeah, it bothers me a bit. I don't like to see the team disrespected.

Considering Lewis to be one of our worst players the past few years is closer to complete ignorance.

Whining on a message board about someone's opinion is hardly defending one's team. At least not in a matter that means anything. Frankly, it's just crying over nothing.

Have to say, much like a handful of others on offense, Lewis should benefit greatly from an upgrade at the QB position..

If our fans every spoke out against this non sense maybe ESPN/NFLN wouldn't bash us for not having any fans every chance they get.

Or...

They would realize that such statements generate a reaction and then decide to continue to post such things since it could lead to a ratings increase.

I wonder if the Fulham message board has to deal with this same nonsense. "Why does Manchester get all the publicity? We are just as talented as Chelsea, we just need to put it together. I am so sick of hearing about every time someone on Arsenal passes gas. Why don't they ever talk about the Cottagers?"
Only a chump boos the home team!

Quote:Everytime the NFLN talks about the Jaguars they always say "they have a couple building blocks like TE Marcedes Lewis".. Seriously? Why don't they mention Poz or Marks you know the guys who actually do something?
Do you have a link of the quote?  Its possible they were refering to the Offense & with Maurie Jones-Drew possibly leaving the team, Center Brad retired, Monroe traded away, Luke injured so it was hard to judge him, Justin always suspended or in jail, and Henne is up for FA plus stinks, that really only gives WRs that havent publicly made a big name for themselves.  People know Lewis due to the draft and commercials as being a star, even though he has at times dropped many key passes.

The truth is the future of the Jaguars Offense is looking really dismal right now.  The Defense has hope of improving significantly under Gus but heck you have to start somewhere & defense wins games just look at Seattle this year.

Here's the problem.  You're expecting NFLN to have insightful things to say about the Jags.  It ain't happening.

Swaguars,

The NFL network (much like ESPN) caters to casual sports/football fan, the casual football plan would recognize a name like "Marcedes Lewis", they're not trying to appeal to hardcore fans, and it's because casual sport/football fans outnumber true hardcore fans, it’s all about ratings. Btw, other than Mike Mayock and Charles Davis, the analysts on the NFL Network are awful.

+1 I agree Mayock and David are great but that's about it. Rich Eisen is ok for a little while. The Brian Anger reaction was hilarious
