and exactly how did he do that. he played 2 3/4 games this year and 2 of those games were against divison winning playoff teams. henne on the other hand played the rest of the games and the majority of the games when the jags were considered laughing stocks. try using facts instead of drunken conjecture to give your opinion on BG.

It's not unheard of to think some GM will want to see what they can do with a former first round pick. It's not like other teams didn't think of him as a first rounder.

 

And I'm sure there are a few GMs who wonder if Gabbert is just another example of a player who needs a change of scenery. They have little to lose and might pick up some extra depth for their roster.

That's quite disturbing.

 

Trade him for a ham sandwich, anything if you can even if it's a conditional pick.  Either way, it's time to move on and give him a chance somewhere else if he can find it.  He's still young, and would seem to have the tools that teams would want in a backup QB.  The Steelers gave up a seventh round pick to Tampa to acquire Leftwich as a backup, so it's not a stretch at all to think it could happen.  There have been some pretty sorry backup QBs who were dealt because someone is willing to roll the dice because of desperation at the position.  Kelly Holcomb was traded twice.

A  4-11 team with a weak starting QB, going to 4-12  in a blow-out game and he still didn't make it in....do you think the other GM's can't figure that out?
