Win their way? Heck....getting an overrated rank, playing scrub teams and hoping the better teams ahead of them lose is the only way they get in....not one top 15 win in two years...pffft.

BIG 10 schedules are made nearly a decade in advance. You cannot fault tOSU for the woes of their OOC opponents. 


That's why the playoff matters. Hate on the BIG 10 all you want, but it is still a storied BCS conference, and going undefeated in two regular seasons, even if you played in the AAC (something Teddy B and Louisville couldn't even do for 1 season) is not the cake walk some of you make it out to be.


I'll admit the schedule wasn't especially difficult, but you can't downplay 24 in a row. Or else every school would have come close at least once.

They lost. Exposed would imply that they were blown out, or that the loss was embarrassing.. They lost by 10, against the best defense in college football. Sure it sucks that they won't play in the NCG, but they'll play in a bowl game, and hopefully learn from the myriad of mistakes that handed them their defeat. 


Exposed? No, merely humbled. We'll be back in form for our bowl game, and be back with a vengeance next year.

Exactly! One other thing Big Ten haters ignore is the obvious fact that every team in every BCS conference schedules cupcakes the first four weeks. Florida played FCS teams two straight years (Jacksonville State and Georgia Southern). Nobody criticizes the Gators for that because they are in the SEC. People hate just to hate without a logical reason for it.

 

Something else people don't think about is the fact that we sometimes do play against very good OOC teams. Case in point: the home and home series with Texas. That, you probably remember, started the year Texas played for the national championshp, and we lost by only five points.

when the schedule was made around 8 years ago, i doubt they thought for certain that no big ten teams would be top 15, thereby ensuring a cupcake schedule.

Also, the Big Ten had more good teams 8 years ago. It seems like every year most Big Ten teams play in bowl games.
