BIG 10 Championship Game Thread
|
Quote:Win their way? Heck....getting an overrated rank, playing scrub teams and hoping the better teams ahead of them lose is the only way they get in....not one top 15 win in two years...pffft.BIG 10 schedules are made nearly a decade in advance. You cannot fault tOSU for the woes of their OOC opponents. That's why the playoff matters. Hate on the BIG 10 all you want, but it is still a storied BCS conference, and going undefeated in two regular seasons, even if you played in the AAC (something Teddy B and Louisville couldn't even do for 1 season) is not the cake walk some of you make it out to be. I'll admit the schedule wasn't especially difficult, but you can't downplay 24 in a row. Or else every school would have come close at least once. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:They lost. Exposed would imply that they were blown out, or that the loss was embarrassing.. They lost by 10, against the best defense in college football. Sure it sucks that they won't play in the NCG, but they'll play in a bowl game, and hopefully learn from the myriad of mistakes that handed them their defeat. We need more people like you on this board, but I certainly do not want Alabama after seeing how close they came to beating Auburn. Although we were not blown out, the Spartans did put us in a 17-point hole. Quote:BIG 10 schedules are made nearly a decade in advance. You cannot fault tOSU for the woes of their OOC opponents. Exactly! One other thing Big Ten haters ignore is the obvious fact that every team in every BCS conference schedules cupcakes the first four weeks. Florida played FCS teams two straight years (Jacksonville State and Georgia Southern). Nobody criticizes the Gators for that because they are in the SEC. People hate just to hate without a logical reason for it. Something else people don't think about is the fact that we sometimes do play against very good OOC teams. Case in point: the home and home series with Texas. That, you probably remember, started the year Texas played for the national championshp, and we lost by only five points.
Again...what top 15 ranked team hss osu beaten in two years? Those sec teams you mention play top teams in conference.
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

If the Buckeyes were bowl eligible last year, they would have beaten a top five team. Quote:Again...what top 15 ranked team hss osu beaten in two years? Quote:When the schedule was made around 8 years ago, i doubt they thought for certain that no Big Ten teams would be top 15, thereby ensuring a cupcake schedule. Also, the Big Ten had more good teams 8 years ago. It seems like every year most Big Ten teams play in bowl games. Quote:Or lost.... Even if they did, people would at least be willing to admit they belonged in the big game because it would not have been a blowout. Quote:Even if they did, people would at least be willing to admit they belonged in the big game because it would not have been a blowout.Moral victories don't matter...loss is a loss...if you're gonna argue "they only loss by 10" then one could also argue "they only beat unranked Michigan by one"....don't be a Kentucky fan.

What people on here are saying is we never even PLAYED against top 10 teams. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:How in the world could you possibly know it wouldn't have been a blowout? Because we caught up with them and took the lead, then lost by only 10 points. Duh. Quote:Moral victories don't matter...loss is a loss...if you're gonna argue "they only loss by 10" then one could also argue "they only beat unranked Michigan by one"....don't be a Kentucky fan.No one is advocating that "they only lost by 10" being a moral victory. You can argue that they only beat Michigan by 1, that's fine with me, because it's true. That won't stop me from saying that Auburn wouldn't be where they are, save for two miracles in the same season. One of those miracles came against Georgia, GEORGIA. They needed a miracle to beat Georgia! Rather, we are asserting that losing by 10 is not "exposing tOSU for being terrible as they are" as some on here preach. There's no convincing the BIG 10 vendettists, so I'm done trying. But stop saying FSU would have done this against them, or Auburn would do that. You don't know because they won't play. That's all I'm saying.

Quote:Because we caught up with them and took the lead, then lost by only 10 points. Duh. That means nothing about them playing LAST year. OSU is overrated and has been two years running. They're rated several spots higher on name only. Michigan State is better team and would beat them more often than not. The B1G as a whole was mediocre this year and MSU is the best of the bunch. Georgia with a healthy Murray > OSU. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
