"America is back."

Quote:I'm sorry, but this just isn't reality. There's no way anyone could really be comfortable or hopeful that China and India would keep those promises, that's a fool's errand. If we did so, actually engaged in the behaviors required, we would simply be hamstringing ourselves (again) to create the Socialists goal of global wealth transfer. I'm glad that Trump bailed because I don't feel any guilt for being the best nation in the world. Once we get some more of Trump's agenda implemented then we can rebuild the gap we used to enjoy as the world's foremost country. Our current capitalist system is just another form of wealth transfer. Quote:Holy cow the amount of pure projection in here from the science deniers is astounding. You believe and take ever stance your overlords tell you to take and assume the left is doing the same thing. It's not a leftist idea that climate change is real and happening and needs to be addressed. It's science and the work of brilliant people all over the world that came to that conclusion and the rest of the world has accepted the conclusion and the left accepts it as well. Your blindness and acceptance of lies because you have chosen party over country and planet is breathtaking. How do you know it isn't a conspiracy? How do you know the natural progression of the solar system isn't responsible and it just might be inevitable? Lets throw trillions of dollars at a problem that might just be made up. Sounds like a good idea. Oh yeah, the DJIA is over 21,200. Cleary people are worried about Trumps decision to exit the accord.
Quote:He wants to renegotiate . France, Germany and some others said that ain't happening. What does the US, or even the world, gain by the US giving $100+ billion to other countries? Obviously, they get our money, but I thought the US was the problem here? If the US is a main contributor, then the US (and the world) would gain more by keeping the damn money and fixing our issues ourselves. Of course, they just want the money. If money fixed this problem, then it would have already been fixed. Quote:That China of all countries will be leading they way when it comes to climate change control? China? Never. How much is China pledging? They don't even care; they're just using this as good PR. Meanwhile, they'll keep doing what they do, not contribute very much or at all, and people like you will turn back to believing they're actually "leading the way".
Quote: China can't even stand up to a serious global nuclear threat that happens to be their neighbor. Quote:Holy cow the amount of pure projection in here from the science deniers is astounding. It's not just sitting around and picked up. There's your problem. You don't see the disproportionate value of individuals. Some create more value than others. Some, in fact consume much, much more than they produce. We are not equal in productivity and ability to produce value/wealth. Capitalism provides the only mechanism where individuals are free to create value/wealth and be compensated accordingly for it. You need to educate yourself on the buzzwords you emptily regurgitate.

Quote:So? Are the US , Nicaragua and Syria the only countries not taking part in this accord? It was something Obama couldn't even get signed into law with a democratic Congress. We never officially agreed to this in the first place. I don't care who we "follow," a bad deal is a bad deal. I don't care who we "follow," a bad deal is a bad deal. Yet it's everyone else, and not them, who blindly follow and approve of a president's every move...

Quote:China? Never. China is already generating CO2 at twice the rate of the US, and plans to increase that another 50% by 2030. Yet, in the Paris Accord it's the US that is expected to decrease emissions by 40% (actually, to set goals to do so, there are no actual requirements, only guidelines). China, as a "developing country" is excluded from being expected to set goals before 2030. https://www.epa.gov/ghgemissions/global-...sions-data "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" So somebody answer these questions. It is my understanding that then President 0bama committed to spending billions of our tax payer dollars on this without it going through Congress first.
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Quote: And where's the outrage about all the social programs that aren't getting that money? Oh, that's right. "Global warming" is the cause of those problems, therefore is also the "cure" for them, too...

I for one am very happy President Trump backed out of the deal, if nothing else on the grounds of the cost savings.
They say it will be the day America "stepped" down as the world leader, OK no problem, have fun China, Russia, France, whoever.........tag your it! Today's cliff's notes education system, I suppose. Tell me what I need to know without cultivating a true foundation of knowledge and thorough understanding of the basics. If you do, however, want more information you can always read more. Education should never end. Unfortunately for far too many, their "education" is in cliff's notes talking points and zero understanding of the issues and the science behind them. https://townhall.com/columnists/dennisav...e-n2308564

You lead by taking your own path, which is precisely what we're doing. The problem about making a joke of everything, is that eventually no one takes you seriously. Even with all the warts, we're still the country others would be like, and not the other way around. We've been cut out at the knees the last 8 years, but we're still the king of the hill... still the standard. Still the most innovative and continue to move forward.

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.
Psssshh...who needs Paris Accord. United States leads all major ‘hypocritical’ nations in CO2 reduction and energy efficiency.
