I'm sorry, but this just isn't reality. There's no way anyone could really be comfortable or hopeful that China and India would keep those promises, that's a fool's errand. If we did so, actually engaged in the behaviors required, we would simply be hamstringing ourselves (again) to create the Socialists goal of global wealth transfer. I'm glad that Trump bailed because I don't feel any guilt for being the best nation in the world. Once we get some more of Trump's agenda implemented then we can rebuild the gap we used to enjoy as the world's foremost country.

I stand by what I said. Regardless of who is in charge, when one can't be trusted by pulling out of deals, in some cases, deals one initiates, the trust factor goes down.

What does the US, or even the world, gain by the US giving $100+ billion to other countries? Obviously, they get our money, but I thought the US was the problem here? You don't see the disproportionate value of individuals.  Some create more value than others.  Some, in fact consume much, much more than they produce.  We are not equal in productivity and ability to produce value/wealth.  Capitalism provides the only mechanism where individuals are free to create value/wealth and be compensated accordingly for it.

China is already generating CO2 at twice the rate of the US, and plans to increase that another 50% by 2030. Yet, in the Paris Accord it's the US that is expected to decrease emissions by 40% (actually, to set goals to do so, there are no actual requirements, only guidelines). China, as a "developing country" is excluded from being expected to set goals before 2030.
