Mariota vs Hundley game watching party topic

#61

Quote:My Mariota support is taking a hit tonight.  I still think he could be good, but I'm beginning to question whether to take him at #2 if Teddy is gone.

I never thought I'd root for the Jaguars to lose, but man I want Teddy Bridgewater on this team so bad right now.
Jags will get him. The bucs will fire schiano and inspire them to a couple late wins

Quote:Well, I think Mariota's winning this battle.
Both are scrubs. One plays with the fastest team in the country, the other is just a scrub. I would like to see Teddy B on UCLA

Quote:Faster runningbacks, Bigger faster stronger wide receivers, a fast physical defense, who would't do better. Especially considering when Bridgewater plays with lesser talent
Bridgewater also plays AGAINST lesser talent.  If Louisville were to hold it's own against Clemson, Alabama, South Carolina, Miami, etc., then there'd be no question.

Luckily, we'll still get to see all of these QBs in their bowl games.

If I'm forced to make a decision between the two, I'm taking Manziel over Mariota all day.

They are not Teddy but they def not scrubs, neither are Franchise QBs yet, give them another year to develop, people like to rush these young guys and try  to raise them up. Teddy is developed and ready to go these guys are not, but have lots of potential. The NFL is not the NBA you dont draft guys high just cuz they have potential.

Y'all don't get sick of doing this crap?  There are other QBs in college not named Bridgewater, and that was supposed to be the entire point of this thread.  Are you guys even watching the damn game?

I'll throw this out there. If Bridgewater was taking snaps for UCLA, they would probably be winning. considering how badly Hundley has look.

I am seeing a superb Oregon team and Mariota is just another piece. You can find a lot of qbs to do what Mariota is doing for Oregon. Don't twist team play into qb play

So glad Mariota got that touchdown. I was worried people wouldn't be able to keep overrating him.

The name you are looking for is Dennis Dixon.

Hundley is trash. He looks like Gabbert out there bailing out of the pocket for no reason. He's been dimissed from the us drafting him topic because it's no way we do. The coaches don't even have confidence in him to throw the ball like that. I'll be happy with either Bridgewater, Barr, or Clowney in that order. Barr is what Dion Jordan is supposed to be.

Mariota still ezpz #2 pick if we lose out on Teddy.

If you can draft the entire Oregon o line and skills crew yes you draft Mariota, but it is becoming increasingly clear that Oregon makes Mariota look good, not the other way around.

A project QB that will require us to switch to a gimmicky offense.

Super excited to occupy the bottom of the AFC South for the next decade. JJ Watt is going to Bane break him in half.

At this point, I would plan to trade for that #1 pick. Although Glennon hasn't look horrible, the bucs may see something in him

Oh, and I wouldn't touch Brett Hundley with a 30 foot pole.

Or maybe they trade the #1 pick to a team who wants Clowney?

One can dream.

Neither one of these guys are making me forget what McCarron did to Tennessee today, or what Winston did to NC State.

Impressed with Aaron Barr for the Bruins and Byron Marshall for the Ducks.

McCarron in the right system could really really be good, a bit like Brady, all depends where he gets drafted.

We all know about Mr. Winston, once in a decade prospect.
