Caldwell should be shopping Marcedes to Green Bay right now

Ha-ha.  I was pointing out the only 2nd rounder our current GM has chosen.  Despite you not liking him - he's likely to be a very good safety as he gets more acclimated to the league.

Not sure about Babin, but you've said the others suck/should be cut...but now they can help teams?

Tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't understand free market economics around here.

This thread puts the "fantasy" in football.

I don't think I have ever said that MoJo, Babin or Poz should be "cut". Marcedes? well I plead the 5th....

Yup, as did the 1st rounder for Trent Richardson, the 1st/ 3rd/ 6th rounders for Roy WIlliams, and the 5th rounder for Mike Thomas.

Just go home.

TMD I love reading your posts, but how often have the Jags done something you've suggested?

Unintentional double negative, but I think I like it better that way.

Really fits the thread.

To be honest? Twice. Twice in about the last 10 years....

I suggested drafting MoJo pre draft in 2006, and suggested signing Hayward as a FA way before free agency started in 2005.

Don't forget:

The Jags signed Dan LeFevour, just like you requested.

Too bad we couldn't have traded him for a 2nd rounder.

bah, that don' t count - were talking immediate future type moves not 2 teams and years down the road moves.

I agree about shopping Marcedes Lewis but it might send a bad message to the locker room. Not sure if thats a good enough reason to not do it anyways. Id want a 2nd or 3rd rounder for marcedes and a 5th. (upgrade a 5th into a 3rd for this year)

As for shorts, 1st or 2nd or no deal. Id deal any player on the roster for a 1st besides blackmon who would warrant a package imo

Quote:I did quantify that as a "high second" which would imply a top 45 (overall) pick.

To answer the question - MoJo? Tony Brackens....Rashean Mathis.... :whistling:

You don't trade a proven play maker for a second round draft choice.. not when he's as young as he is.

Trust me on this one.  Once the injuries and concussions start, they don't stop.

The Browns continue to be rumored to be shopping Josh Gordon....he's essentially Cecil Shorts.
