I don't take that too mean much.  Teams also passed on Aaron Rodgers a whole bunch of times that needed a QB.  

 

It has more to do with taking a guy mainly on potential.  Teddy eliminates that part of it.  You aren't taking him on just potential, but he has shown it in game time and time again.

The fact that he got beat out by Glennon at NC State and had to transfer to Wisconsin didn't help. Plus people were worried that one year at Wisconsin was an anomaly. He had never thrown for more than 59% in a season before it.
