If the Draft were today who would we pick?

#61

Quote:Malik Hooker with his 6th pick of the year and 3rd returned for a TD. He's a top 20 player.
He'll be a high pick for someone, just not us.

Peppers got his first INT today too.

For me;

Peppers if he is there,, no doubt.

I don't care about need if Peppers is still there. Grab him quick, and be REAL happy about it!

If not,,

build the trenches, however the can do it.

Jon Allen all the way.

Too early for me, I haven't watched enough film. Offhand, I do like Allen. Pair him with Malik and I like our interior pass rush.

Think Cyp is resigned so not even thinking about Peppers

I hear spending a top 5 pick on a running back who has had like 4 shoulder injuries might not be so prudent.

You're probably right. Although, Peppers is going to be ten times the player that Cyp is, IMO. We've all been complaining about not getting turnovers from the defense. If Peppers gets his hands on the ball, he's magic.

I'd be real happy to get a talent/upgrade like that on the defense. The defense now is starting to gel and looking better. But, keep beefing it up and try to turn it into a dominant unit.

A defensive stud along the defensive front somewhere would be awesome too.

First round pick (Jags will easily be in the top ten,, maybe top 5):

Defensive Stud along the line or Peppers

Rounds 2-7:

O-line

O-line

O-line

O-line

etc...

I'd be fine with that.

Peppers only has 1 career INT.

I just think he'll be REALLY good in the NFL. Just a gut feeling/hunch; my personal opinion.

Of course, NFL scouts and GMs won't go off of that. But, I'd be happy with it.

Anyway,

I'd be happy with them going defense in the early pick.

Sigh... I guess Garett or Cook. I hate drafting another RB and paying so much for Ivory. Prince will probably leave this team in the off season, so Quincy Wilson or Tabor are intriguing. Then again, they're from Florida so idk how that'll turn out.

All I know is that we need (in no particular order) a new starting RT, 2 new starting OG's or an OG and a Center if we moved Linder back to OG, a RB, competition at QB, a pass rusher, a NT and a LB who can cover TE's. This is definitely our must have list for the offseason.

Top 5 pick this year. It's simple. Just like this past year.

Take the best of who is available after people reach for the QBs. Allen, Garrett or Barnett. Done.

The thing with Allen is where does he play? malik is manning the inside and hes not an edge guy imo. He seems limited to being a 3-4 dl. Kinda the same as Buckner last year, except Allens way better. I just still cant help but think well be limiting him

Allen could take Odrick's spot.
