Jalen Ramsey on ejection...

#61

Quote:It is easy to chalk it up as immaturity, but while playing for the Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall made a similar comment. He said before a game he wanted to get ejected for unnecessary roughness. Five years in the NFL is long enough for someone to not be that stupid. Jalen Ramsey will grow out of the facemask crap, but he needs to understand no unnecessary roughness is acceptable in this league.

That's a fair point, and I agree, the immaturity isn't acceptable. But it's expected with someone of his talents at his age. Love his fire, and he needs to understand that we need him ON the field. He will. He's a gamer. He wants to be challenged every Sunday. He thirsts for greatness.

Wow just saw Jalen's sound bite: "I just did my job"

Yeah it's really as simple as that. Jalen can ball, pretty soon he's going to feel like he's above the team, and that's not going to be good. His demeanor is already suggesting that he's above to team. And quite frankly he might be...

stupid is as stupid does, he doesn't see the need to shut up and stay on the field, he has to be respected. Greeeeaaaatttt

22 years old.

I can think of a dozen things I said as a 22 year old that were pretty stupid and naively overconfident.

I'll give him some leeway here. He's got time to grow a bit.

He's gotta grow up. Good thing is he is only 21.

I 100% agree with you…

I want to keep him here for a very long time but I feel like he will dip out at the first chance he gets.

Maybe an off season stint with a few 18 year old Marines in Afghanistan will help maturity.

Malik leaving the stadium after being ejected and driving home is a [BLEEP] move on his part but shows exactly what he thinks of this coaching staff too.

I know a lot of immature marines. Just saying.

He's obviously frustrated and it boiled over. I don't blame him but he has to keep his composure.

Been there and done that easily the most immature people I have met in my life have been from young military people.

Good job Jalen.  You just gave every team the Jags play a recipe to get you kicked out of the game.

Smart.

He didn't leave.

I see, Mike Kaye said he's heard several different stories regarding that.
