LSU/Florida game rescheduled

Quote:If they beat FSU and then Alabama, I almost think they deserve a shot at the playoffs. You're giving them way to high of a chance!!

Quote:In the .001% chance the Gators actually beat FSU and somehow manage to stop Alabama, being as they're #13 in the rankings right now, do they automatically go to the playoffs? I think the Gators are confident this is going to happen. Their QB may be heading to Canton OH sometime in the future ....... we'll see if anyone can pick up on that reference.
The Gators have a punchers chance. They could get hot, but tats tough to do given the injuries
Quote:If they beat FSU and then Alabama, I almost think they deserve a shot at the playoffs. Will Alabama get left outbox the playoffs if they lose to UF? Doubtful. Florida's chance probably depends on what the Big10 teams end up doing. If Wisconsin wins out and wins the BIG10 Championship game, they'd probably get in over UF.
It's tough for me to say that if Alabama loses in the SEC championship to Florida they deserve a chance to play in the playoffs. They didn't win the conference title and they are no longer undefeated. Are they one of the top 4 teams with one loss left? Then maybe, but if Florida wins out and beats Bama they should go in over Bama. From my understanding the committee will look at conference champions over anything else.

Yo being as that UF is ranked #13 right now, a win over FSU and Alabama guarantees their playoff spot. Loss to FSU and win vs Bama, probably screws both them and Bama out of the playoffs.

Nah I think the only way bama isn't in is if they lose both of their next two, win either one and they're in. I'm not looking past fsu though, I can't endure another 27-2 game, and if they let cook get the edge even a single time I'm gonna flip my [BLEEP]
Chicken nuggets is like my family.

The B1G is facing this issue, too. If Penn St. and Ohio St. win out, then who gets in? Better wins? Ohio St. Less losses? Ohio St. "Better" losses? Ohio St. Better strength of schedule? Ohio St. But many think that Penn St. would get the bid over Ohio St.
After this weekend it's kind of funny to see the mud on the LSU's athletic directors face when Houston's Tom Herman spurned their offer that he had a handshake deal on to hear out Texas. Supposedly the AD got mad when he was told by the agent that he wanted to hear out Texas and said we have a guy that wants to coach here and gave it to Orgeron. Nobody wants Orgeron to be their head coach....LSU is about to spiral into the toilet.

No, he embarrassed himself twice so far this year. Orgeron seems like a decent guy and a good defensive coordinator, a guy the kids can rally around, but he's not a good head coach. Plus, the recruiting scandals he left Ole Miss with are enough to scare you away.
It's going to be an interesting year or two with him at the helm.

I was listening to 1010 and apparently Florida is going after a quarterback that was at Baylor either last year or the year before. Not sure why he left. Ballou said he watched the kid play at Baylor as a freshman and the kid was legit. If they get him though they are going to make the two freshman on the roster a bit worried about their role going forward. Might be able to keep them a year, but they won't be able to keep them long.
His name is Jarrett Stidham. Edit: To add, he left the team at the start of summer so that this year would count as his year to sit out. The article I just read said that he has spent much of his time hunting deer and working with a personal trainer. There's some good deer hunting down there in the Gainesville area.....I bet Mac is hooking him up! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

If this is true, it's absolutely ridiculous.
Florida should go after whichever quarterback they can get. I'm not sure the two freshman on their roster are the answer.

You might want to read my CFP rankings threads that are full of posts about how two Big 10 East teams can get in. Would the CFP committee let Ohio State in and keep Alabama out? Of course not. Although conference championships have always been preferred, in this crazy year millions of football fans will be angry if they see teams like Penn State and Florida in the playoffs.
