Pence could have answered it more clearly. It was a loaded question from Chris Matthews where he asked IF abortion was illegal, would you punish those who commit abortions. Like any logical person, you believe if someone BREAKS THE LAW, you get punished. Trump answered as such. Following political backlash from what should have been a common sense, logical answer, he was forced to correct himself.

Pence wins on presentation.  I don't think he defended Trump very well though.  Kaine came across rather poorly.  In fact both came across as incredibly unlikable to me.  Kaine's best moment was probably when he said he would uphold the law, regardless of his own beliefs.  Not a fan of the choice of either of these two people tbqh.  Though I'd still take Kaine over Pence.

It may not seem derogatory to you and your female friends, but women voters don't forget what was said and written about them that was clearly nothing less than completely baseless insults. The abortion part - which I stand both ways on - is an example of Trump not wanting women to do what is right for them. Pence's POV was women should be punished for making a private decision based on medical testing, family, current medications, etc. If Trump loves women as much as he says privately, why doesn't he make that clear in all of his public rallies and speeches? Why do these two guys refuse to accept the fact that voters care about what they call a whole demographic these stupid names and descriptions of wonderful people.
