Personally, I think Ramsey is the best corner in the league.

There is not a single corner with his speed, length and range in the league. Not to mention his best years are still ahead of him since he's still only 24 years old.

Would you trade Ramsey straight up for any other corner in the league?

Agreed, I think he is the most talented corner in the league but he was far from the best last year.  Was his fall off last year because of the injury?  We shall find out soon enough.  I want Ramsey here and I hope he plays like he did in 2017 but we should find out soon enough.  His play this year we be a big impact on his future contract that some wanted to already give out.  Just glad the team is waiting till the end of this year at the very least.

I wanted Vernon but think it was more homerism being a Gator fan in hindsight.  Vernon hasnt shown me what i thought he would entering the league.  Ramsey took a step back last year, hopefully due to injury only, and will be back to form this year.  WHAT has vernon done of note.  I've eaten my crow already over this but want to know why ya'll are fighting the servings.

We all 3 liked VH3 better but I wanted Jack in the 1st. Still crazy he fell that far.  Hargreaves looked like he was finally starting to stay healthy last year and had his best season.  Will be interesting to see if he can stay healthy and see what kind of season he can have

i need to watch some of his games from last year.  I thought he would be the better coverage corner and had better hands but cant say i've been disappointed with Jalen.  Im watching those two closely but i wanted Jaylon Smith, Vernon Hargreaves, Myles Jack and Jalen, in that order.  Jaylon got hurt as did Myles and we passed on Vernon so here we are.

Who are you referring to when you say "we all?"
Gator fans?
I liked Ramsey, Apple, Burns and Howard ahead of VH in that draft.

He played in one game last year.

Hergreaves' health is his biggest hurdle, followed by being coachable and maturity. He reportedly has spent some time in Arians doghouse already  this offseason.

He's got athletic gifts to be a good NFL corner if he can stay healthy .

I never saw him as anywhere near the prospect Ramsey was though, and that's how it has played out thus far in their pro careers.

Yea.  I saw it in another thread, on the MB, about him and Arians.  Availability, is the most important ability a player can have, so one game is not even a sample size to go off of.  Ramsey has been head and shoulders above what i expected and i have zero complaints at this point.  Vernon, to me, hasnt shined at all in his pro career.  I hope VHIII turns it around.

I expect he'll trend upward in these sort of lists once he gets a healthy season under his belt.

Strictly based on observed talent, I can't imagine him not being top three.

It reminds me of the PFF analysis that said Derek Cox was better than Darelle Revis.

Still shaking my head at that one.

Or Blake Bortles out performing Aaron Rodgers

This thread, that article, I'm so confused...

VH3 > Ramsey?
Ramsey 9th best?

There is too much stupid going on in this world. I don't want to live here anymore.

At least the other guy can admit his Florida homerism.....

Why would it be sarcasm?  I don't know who he really liked back then but you act like Hargreaves wasn't a highly rated corner.  He was a top 10 pick for a reason, he was the number 1 recruit coming out of High School and a great corner in college as well.  Not sure about his work ethic but if he can stay healthy he could be one of the top corners in the league.  Of course I'm a Gator homer, I'll admit it.  If you're not a Gator you're Gator bait. As someone said, his biggest hurdle is staying healthy. Best ability is availability

As a Gator homer... I'm pretty sure I knew Ramsey was better than VH3... memory isn't great on whether I announced it a whole lot back during that draft but I know on draft day I was super excited about Ramsey.

Perhaps there was a lot of talk about us taking VH3 by some people who assumed Ramsey wouldn't even be available?

Either way, even if VH3 had stayed fully healthy, I don't think he sniffs the realm of King Ramsey.
But maybe my Jag homerism outweighs my Gator homerism.

I was excited about the Ramsey too, especially when we got Jack in the 2nd

Out of all our early picks, the picks I have disliked the most was Bortles, Yeldon, and Smoot. Wasn't a fan of the Chark puck either so I hope he proves me wrong

Just remembered something that has me confused.  I know his dad is a DB coach so i'm baffled as to why he is opposed to coaching.  Is it the way he is being coached, or is it a "i know it all" type of attitude from him.  I want to learn more about the issue because i never thought getting "coached" up would be an issue.

How exactly is he opposed to coaching?

I'd assume it's from the Colts game where Ramsey reportedly refused to play zone several times and wound up being at fault for one of the long touchdowns. Remember the going rogue comments.
