Blake is a coward!
|
Like the silly delusional club of fans were saying they gave Gus a pass the first 3 years because he had no talent, I won't blame Blake until he has a real coach. I have no doubt in my mind if he played for a competent coach he'd be way better than what he's showing.

Quote:Blake shouldn't regularly be in a position at this stage in his career where he has to win games for us. This is the fundamental issue I take with your statement. I understand he's still young and he's struggling mentally, but it's not like he had to win us that game. He just needed to close it out by converting a first down. He threw way too many ducks so nonchalantly. It's like he didn't care where he was throwing.
Quote:did anyone notice him run off the field like a baby before time expired? He was also crying when he abruptly left the podium about answering a question about the crowd boooing him Quote:He was also crying when he abruptly left the podium about answering a question about the crowd boooing him What happened? I feel for this kid on a level I can't quite put into words nor justify. I see a young man who's confidence is shot to the point that I'm worried he may not get it back and because he's our starting QB (and in spite of this has all the potential in the world), it really bothers me.

He made the comment that fans wouldn't appreciate him coming to their work and screaming at them for a mistake...or something like that. Stormed off after that. ![]()
I honestly feel like this guy might be crumbling before our eyes. His confidence is at an all time low, you can tell he puts it all on himself in his presser. Tough to watch, I hope he finds some confidence and moves on.
That's another reason I don't go to the games anymore...it's just too depressing.
Have you seen my baseball?

Anyone who works at any retail job deals with worse people on a day to day basis. Quote:What happened? He wasn't crying. The Jags employee who was "running" the presser had announced "last question" just before FatBoy Lamm asked about the booing. So when he'd finished his answer, which was a good one, he walked away. He wasn't crying nor was he "storming off." The presser was over. This "crying/storming away" talk is just people trying to inject their own narrative here after the young man stood there well-composed for 9 minutes answering some tough questions after a really tough loss. I'm also glad I'm not alone in stating that its tough to watch...and not just from the perspective of a fan wanting my team to win.

Bortles has not played well this year, but it is absolutely ridiculous that this thread is 3+ pages long and not one person apparently understands how tough it is to play the QB position when the defense has zero respect for the running game. Passing lanes do not exist.
Add that to the facts that his average down in distance is about 17 yards thanks to boneheaded penalties by his offensive line, and that his offensive coordinator and playcaller apparently spent the offseason huffing solvents, it isnt surprising to me that Blake is struggling. But wtvr

No, but I rarely hit a home run.

All I know is that if coach would have put you in, we'd have taken state. No doubt in my mind. On a side note, how's that time machine coming along? |
