But I'm sure Marrone and company know what's coming.

I seriously can't believe it. I was just telling my wife at dinner that Con gives the two stooges a 1 year ultimatum then they proceed to gut the team. Figured that would be the excuse. Glad to see that I was wrong.

They brought Baalke in from the 49ers about a year or so ago.  He helped to build them into a Super Bowl team.

Brought him in earlier this year

The new GM will draft his own QB as well, so GM15 is also on notice.

Seemed like it was never going to come. I was willing to give Caldwell this year after Coughlin's firing last year, but I don't think you can hit a hard reset every couple of years like Caldwell tried. When his "plan" that he sold Shad on at the end of last year was, apparently, trading all talented veterans to acquire draft capital and free agency money, I thought keeping him was a mistake. I'm glad Khan finally put an end to this cycle of suffering. The next guy the team brings in may wind up being worse, but at least there's some hope moving forward.

Yep.

I wonder if they will consider Baalke for the job or if they will go outside of the organization.

Personally, I hope they just drop everyone and rebuild the FO from the top down.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

LMBO but he'll simply have to get used to it. I didn't like this move initially, BUT I realized that we're about to get a New Look on Football Life.

It's the scheme and coaching, those are both on Washington. He may not end up being great but I would wait to see what he can do.

This move should have been made 11 months ago. Caldwell flushed two more first rounders that someone else could have used building toward a future. Hoping Khan instructed Marrone to make sure the draft position doesn't get any worse and he can keep his job through the end of the season.

Absolutely agree.  Clean the whole place out, bring in the priest to exorcise any demons, and start fresh.

Agreed.  Makes the job more attractive for the next guy.
This is a results-oriented business.  There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft".  Our record with DC is 37-86.  6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership.  These are the FACTS.
