Lol, the evidence that backs this up is Urban Meyer's history. Just because it's a slope doesn't mean it's slippery.

Paul Finebaum: "This guy (Urban Meyer) does not get along with rules."

Yeah, no [BLEEP].

If Meyer is a slippery slope, Bill Belichick is a sheer cliff. Can someone remind me if he's won any Superbowls?

You think the league is going to cover for Jacksonville like they did for Boston?

Depends if we can get traction with TL. Indianapolis is a small market team, but Manning was marketable enough to give the Colts tremendous influence.

I read the Paul Finebaum and have to say, "wow thanks captain obvious". I remain meh on the hire because of all the sideshow aspects of it all. But just what has worked for this franchise outside of the beginning, half the del rio years and 1 other year? It has been a lot of failure at the franchise running level.
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.

The team has sucked because the guys picking players couldn't recognize QB talent. Now that they finally had a can't miss no brainer staring them in the face Khan decided they needed to keep the number of problems consistent for some reason, so he hired a guy that's nothing but red flags to run the show.

They're really going to test the theory that coaching is all about having a great QB that guys like oehser like to espouse.

For the record, I don't think Urban Meyer is a bad coach, I think he's a bad person who has a problem with ethics.

100% right here.  I also think that these qualities coupled with his ignorance of how the NFL works could very much set us back early in his tenure--and let's be honest, early in his tenure is all we're going to get from him.

Finebaum is as bad as Meyer is. Unless you want a Bama homer with SEC is the best mixed in, he is unbearable.

I dont think that's accurate, but let's say it is. I guess we would rather lose with great guys like gus and maroney than possibly win with UM. Our fans need to get the loser mentality out of us more than the players

I agree. Meyer's "ethics problem" didn't became an issue until  he left UF pissing off Gator fans. Very few coaches are complete saints like Joe Gibbs or Tony Dungy and the ones that are usually have about as much success as Gus did.

Just a small reminder of what Urban really is for those who have shorter memories.

I like how people are either Pro Urban or heavily against Urban rather than just waiting and seeing how it plays how. It's like Christians vs Athiest, hate to tell you.. neither side knows the truth in how it will play out, quit guessing and understand you are not smarter than everyone else. Let it play out.

These are always my favorite posts.

We might as well shut the board down right? Because every single topic should be met with "Let's just wait and see".

People are voicing their opinions (which.... shocker... that's what the board is for) and at the same time, we are all waiting to see because no games have been played yet.

That reads like a resume for the NFL. Urbs is ready for prime time in the big leagues.

I'm neither. I was actually a little against the signing initially but like you willing to see how it plays out. Just find it funny how people are holier-than-thou when it comes to the guy because they're mad he abandoned their program.

Yep, Hayes is another disgruntled UF alum. No surprise he doesn't like the guy.
