Unfortunately, candidates like Trump appeal to the masses because 1) he’s not a career politician and 2) he’s the only one who has the nuts to call everyone out. Unfortunately, the guy becomes unhinged and needs to be called out himself. As a country, left and right, we have no good options for this election and it’s causing the country to become even more unbalanced. Calling someone out is flat out different from finding excuses to blame a particular person for their own disorders.

I call out Republicans on here, and yes, I will admit my rhetoric gets too assertive at times. We’re all passionate.

Speaking of whoppers. Do you people feel any sort of shame for voting for this dude?

It’s no worth the effort. They’re called pedophiles and child touchers and tons of other names. This goes both ways, man. The left started calling traditional conservatives far right and racist and fascist. It's all out of hand. I truly have no problem with the general sentiment of this post, but I have grown tired of the one-way ratchet that the establishment uses to move Americans. It's kabuki theater. We post about the dumbest [BLEEP] here. Meanwhile, 1000-page omnibus bill gets passed in the middle of the night. Look at the front page of this thread? Who's talking about law? Who's talking about what's actually being passed for Americans? I am telling you right now, the establishment does not care about America anymore. It's about corporate global power and dominance. You guys quibbling about lies is just taking your eye off the ball. We have to stop defending party-line policies and start collectively organizing around our own interests. More importantly, I hope we wake up and stop justifying why we tolerate these political hacks who do nothing to advance our interests. At least with Trump we saw improvement in our lives, because he at least wants HIS country to be great. His narcissism is my friend in this instance, and if I have to put up with his ego and lying, it's better for ME than the alternative. Trump is not for us, certainly, but he is showing you the underbelly of DC, which is most definitely NOT for us. That's good. I hope it falls apart.

Calling someone "far right" or "far left" is in bounds if you've considered it carefully and really think that's where their views are. Even "fascist" and "racist" can be in bounds if you really think that's where someone's views are based on what they've posted. Obviously, if they never said anything about a racial issue, "racist" would be out of bounds, but if they have, call it like you see it. Calling someone a pedo could also be in bounds if they have made positive posts about adults sexualizing children. If they have not, it's completely out of bounds.
We need to have thicker skin with some of this stuff. What's always out of bounds is "you should die" or " let's go kill this person."

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.

Not calling on any person to do anything, just expressing well considered disdain for the role one man plays in our system.

He came on pretty strong, but, then he got up there and got busted for plagiarizing some of Obama's speech from a few years ago. Then you get into the whole rise to fame debate with him and the George Soros money that was linked to him, which, it does and doesn't bother me at the same time. I get annoyed easily though. We don't have a nation of true debaters anymore. We have a nation of people dressed up in suits and ties arguing like school children in front of the camera. Taking pot shots at one another. It feels like the amount of air time they use to just do that leaves a lot to be desired in what we really need to be hearing about. The biggest issue is money though, as long as money is involved in our political system, we're going to continue to see this same cycle of nonsense and distractions. Lobbyism has sapped the integrity out of our system and career politicians in conjunction with congress have accepted globalism to our nation's detriment. I cannot explain it, other than what it feels like to me as the modern beginnings of what the fall of Rome must have felt like in ancient times. The country has become so big, so powerful, so drunk on it's own ego and accomplishments (something most of today's candidates had nothing to do with) that it's spread itself and stretched itself too thin. We really need a serious reformation in our country. I think, in order for us to reach that reformation, we're going to have to go backwards for a little bit longer until it really sinks in for the general public and population. We're seeing some of it now. From all communities. Due to inflation and the pandemic that slowed us down a few years ago and continues to still have it's effect on us today. Just interesting times right now to be an American. However, we all want change, we all want better for ourselves. Just comes down to who can lead us to it, who can balance it all out and who can clean up this mess. Starts with us at home, for sure and then locally. "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king."
