Quote:Henne for Tebow... Unfortunately, it's the team that would be sell outs, not the stadium.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???
Quote:Henne for Tebow... Civil war between Tebow fans and Sam fans would ensue. Could be entertaining. Great television.

I wonder if there are people that doubt that winning will change almost everything?
Do we think that 20 years ago that the Patriots, Saints or Seahawks had many fans? Not when polls are taken of favorite team in the NFL they are all in the top 10. These numbers pretty much say it all. http://www.harrisinteractive.com/NewsRoo...fault.aspx Quote:I wonder if there are people that doubt that winning will change almost everything?apparently there are some... this thread wouldn't exist otherwise.. i think most on here understand the parallels between winning and popularity at least in the sports world. Quote:The hell with Tebow and Sam. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I passed by a couple of stores that sold sports merchandise. I noticed in the window display that they were selling Cowboys and Steelers merchandise. There was some other NFL merchandise but it wasn't Jaguars merchandise. They have a TV affiliate that shows the Jags pre season games in Charleston.......And how are you going to go through Myrtle Beach and not even say hi!!!!????

The team under Khan has started to tap into markets like Savannah, Charleston and Orlando. That is something the team failed to do under Weaver. But quite frankly, it won't work unless the team wins. The games are on in those markets for the most part. But the last few years there has been more talk of people complaining the team is on than tuning into those games. Orlando is a huge bandwagon market. If the team has put together a string of successful seasons with regular trips to the playoffs, they can easily be "Orlando's team".

If I were Khan I would entertain the idea of possibly doing training camp in Orlando at either the Disney sports complex or the renovated Citrus Bowl. I would also entertain doing a preseason game there or possibly Daytona. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The better Bortles plays, the more his jersey sells, the more Orlando will jump on the bandwagon and the more the franchise will go up in rankings. Winning is the key.
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011 Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.
That just means the bandwagon is the most vacant. There's 0 hype around the team.
No pain, no gain.

If the team starts winning and Bortles becomes a "face of the franchise" type quarterback I have to think they will pounce on the Orlando market. Logistically, I don't know what is possible but I am sure there will be something. |
