Do we think that 20 years ago that the Patriots, Saints or Seahawks had many fans? Not when polls are taken of favorite team in the NFL they are all in the top 10.

if your going to thrown in the towel on being a competitive football team, filling the roster with LFLers would be the way to go... i think the 9ers should try it out.

Last week,  as part of a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.,  I spent a day in Charleston.   I passed by a couple of stores that sold sports merchandise.   I noticed in the window display that they were selling Cowboys and Steelers merchandise.   There was some other NFL merchandise but it wasn't Jaguars merchandise.   

 

If the Jaguars start winning consistently again and make a concerted effort to market the team on the South Carolina Coast as north as the Charleston area,   I believe the team can increase its following over there by a considerable margin.   Considering the wealth of many people in Charleston,  attracting fans from that area could provide a sizable financial boost for the Jaguars.  

They have a TV affiliate that shows the Jags pre season games in Charleston.......And how are you going to go through Myrtle Beach and not even say hi!!!!????

The games are on in those markets for the most part. But the last few years there has been more talk of people complaining the team is on than tuning into those games. Orlando is a huge bandwagon market. If the team has put together a string of successful seasons with regular trips to the playoffs, they can easily be "Orlando's team".

If I were Khan I would entertain the idea of possibly doing training camp in Orlando at either the Disney sports complex or the renovated Citrus Bowl.


I would also entertain doing a preseason game there or possibly Daytona.

 

If the team starts winning and Bortles becomes a "face of the franchise" type quarterback I have to think they will pounce on the Orlando market. Logistically, I don't know what is possible but I am sure there will be something.
