Not like TL normally does.

When was the last time you saw TL throw deep to a fly route WR?

LOL

Naw, man you don't know what you're looking at.

The Slinger did good because the game plan was simple.  But in addition, the game plan was also more like last years.  We had Crossing routes.  We targeted Engram in the middle.  We didn't rely on WR outs routes.

This was a better game plan.

The ETN run was a RB Toss SWEEP for god's sake.  When was the last time you saw a RB Toss Sweep this entire freaking year?

So the play calling today was clearly better.  But that does not change the fact that the play calling for the last 15 games wasn't total trash.

Oh, and still.  The red zone offense is still awefull.  But I'm sure this board will ignore that.  We were inside the 20 3 different times and only got 9 points.  WOOT!  Thank good for our OC!!!  He's so great!!!  We beat a 2 win football team.

I'm happy for the win.  But let's not pretend that this was some vindication of this coaching staff.

These 2 are the worst.

They have to be replaced.  And then we have to figure out whether Walker Little is worth playing.  Dude is soft as chalk.  Chalker Little.

And how does Shatley have a job still?  I mentioned this in the Game Thread, but the entire O-Line besides Cam and Harrison have regressed.  Is that not on the coaches???

If you don't want to blame Doug or Press, can we at least admit that the O-Line coach needs to get fired?  This line is an abomonation.  And then we just keep running the same plays that expose how bad the O-Line is.  It's beyond insanity.

What's the deal with trying to give players these stupid nicknames?

He’s stupid?

Trevor doesn't always take the short stuff given him because he looks deep too often at times and by the time he checks down he's under pressure or the route is covered, but that has nothing to do with play calling and is about the hero ball aspect of our starting QB. He needs to learn how to reel that in.

Watching folks try to put a better game against a bad opponent on "changed play calls" when nothing changed is comical. All the Jags did differently was stick to the run a bit more instead of giving up on it - because they knew their opponent was bad enough to let them pull it off - and ETN still had to battle through tackles at the LOS all day.

Yea, I saw that o-line coach miss a ton of blocks the last few games.  He got pushed into our QB a few times too.   He has to play the hand dealt him. I personally believe he is doing better than I expected coming into the season. What gives me hope for the future is I remember just after the draft a report.  Kahn asked if we selected Harrison could he start. Our O-line coach and Doug said definitely putting pressure on Baalkie to not screw that pick up.

We ran a little today. It was far from a successful running attack, especially if you remove the ET yardage on the one breakaway.  We had 155 rushing yards minus 62 yd ET breakaway equals 93 yds.  35 attempts so divide by 34 equals 2.74 per attempt. (note that includes Beathard's 3 runs for 24yds)  Before today the Panther defense was allowing an average of 4.3 yards per attempt.  So, like I said we ran a little.

You have to just remember that Carp doesn't see what he thinks he sees, doesn't understand what he does see, and doesn't remember it more than a minute after he sees it. He's the perfect storm of ignorance and misperception. It's stunting.

What game are you watching the Oline is still horrible

Have you not seen the Carolina, Bengals and Tennessee olines? They are basically practice squad players.

Our line isn't bad especially with Cam starting. You know the same player that people thought would be easily replaced if they were to get cut or traded?

I swear our fans (its usually the trevor lawrence fanboy) club are the most idiotic.

Bengals literally lost the game and all but lost their playoff shot 100% because of OL giving up sacks late today.

Great example!

And Carolina???  Tennessee???  - did you watch football on Dec. 31??

The staff was never in need of vindication. The players were.

Crossing routes? Are you blind? They've run 230 crossing routes this year!
Jeezus - watch the damn games again

CJ takes what they give him more because that's what backups should do. TL should do it more too, but he loves hero ball. Let's see where he ends up on that. He's young yet.

If the best player available with our first round pick is a center, that would be really nice. I'm always for picking the best available player and patching holes with free agents, but damn, we need to do something about our center.

I think if we fix the Center and Left Guard positions, that would fix the whole offense.  And that would help the defense tremendously.

But I'm the dumb one?

LOL, you guys are so pathetic.  You just love to find one poster every year and gang up on them.  Welp, here I am.  I have an opinion you disagree with and so that makes me stupid and bad.

I'll tell you this much, I have no care for you losers and your takes I disagree with.  But I get you and NYC4Jags so riled up that you have to attack me all the time.  You [BLEEP] are miserable old losers that have no ability to enjoy one single thing without finding something to complain and whine about.

It's pretty pathetic.  But what would I expect from a couple old, pathetic, clearly miserable dinosaurs holding onto a dying forum because it's the only place they feel big and powerful.

Happy New Years to those on this forum that choose not to insult every poster that they don't agree with.

I posted a thread saying we needed to add competition at Center and Left Guard in October 2022 and you mocked me for it.

Regardless - I obviously agree. Welcome aboard the OL reality train. Next stop, free agency, March 13.

You should review the threads from earlier this season in which you attacked me and my position with no provocation from me and gain some "awareness" of why I give your horrible football takes so much criticism. I don't do that with folks who haven't given me cause. If a poster logs in and attacks me, attacks other users needlessly, or insults the Jags fanbase, I'll call a duck a duck minus the politeness.

I don't think you're a troll.

I don't even think you're a bad guy.

I just think you don't know what you're watching at 1pm on Sunday afternoons so you blame the wrong people when we lose and praise the wrong people when we win.

You're supremely confident in your blatantly inaccurate analysis and continue to harp on it every time you think you see something to support your bad takes. Most of the time you make reference to "certain mods" or some other weak bull [BLEEP] instead of addressing me directly. Did you think doing that was going to get me to ignore your garbage posts?

You either need to get thicker skin or learn football if you want to login here and continually try to call me out.

Sorry. Happy New Year.

He is replaceable.

He's a slightly above average run blocking LT that is quite a bit less talented in protection.

There are upgrades out there. You've gotta hit on a pick or spend some money, but there's probably 18-20 NFL teams out there right now with better left tackles than Cam Robinson. If they found one, we can too.
