Who's your pick at 3. No Trade Options

Quote:I'm really not sold on Beasley. I don't like his size or his strength (I know he benched 225 38x but he doesn't play THAT strong). I really don't like how he plays vs the run and how tentative he is to lay a hit on somebody other than the qb. So I really don't think he is that much better as a football player as of right now. 3 years down the road it can be a totally different story. I wouldn't underestimate his strength. The fact is, 38x is A LOT, and it means he has strength. Now why doesn't he play like it? Well, that's probably technique which can be taught.

Quote:I'm still voting for Dante Fowler but a player that does not get much recognition around here is Bud Dupree from Kentucky. The guy lit up the combine and his tape is pretty nice with some inconsistency issues here and there. He is 6'4 and 270 lbs. He ran a 4.56 40 with a 42" vert. I think he is made for the LEO position and is a way better fit in our defense than Vic Beasley. Quote:Being from Lexington and all, no one likes Dupree more than me. That said, him over Beasley is way jumping the gun. He definitely has ideal LEO size and athleticism, but he is just not a very good football player yet. He has great explosion, but he doesn't know how to use his hands, he doesn't have counter moves, and he doesn't have the ability to bend at all. UK did him no favors either, as they used him all over the place and he never got to master any one position. I have seen several sources that say he is just plain dumb too, and he reportedly only scored a 10 on the wonderlic. I'm warming to the idea of Dupree more and more if the team trades back a bit. I agree that you don't take Dupree with Beasley still available, but if you can move back a bit and get some extra picks, Dupree would be rather nice on the roster.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
I'd be a bit apprehensive about moving out the top 10. I feel like there's a bit of a talent drop off. If we did trade with Cleveland I'm not sure who we'd even take at that spot. I'm not sold on Dupree at all. I suppose Parker might be there
Quote:I used to think so, but it's starting to sound like it could be QB 1 and 2 like it was the year with Luck and Griffin. Agree. I believe there will be some drama in the first round. One of the benefits of choosing so soon, we can kick back with the popcorn after our pick.
"You do your own thing in your own time. You should be proud."
Quote:Agree. I believe there will be some drama in the first round. unless we trade out!
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

From everything I've read, Dupree appears to be an ideal OTTO.

Quote:Fowler. We signed Williams clone to a big FA contract(Odrick) No way Williams has the potential some are saying of being a DT McCoy, or DE JJ WATT not Odrick. Granted its potential where as you know what to expect from Odrick (somewhat- i mean they are hoping he goes back to his sack stats when he was a LE). Williams is the best athlete on the board if hes there at 3 GM Dave will draft him.
So our messageboard big board is:
Williams, Fowler Jr, Beasley, Cooper, White. I'd be happy with any of them. I trust Dave with whoever he picks Quote:So our messageboard big board is:I don't think I would be happy with White. Right now I would say my order is Williams, Beasley, Cooper. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
