Any Rams fan who seriously believes the Jaguars are a candidate to move to St. Louis obviously has no idea what we are doing to our stadium. There is no reason to buy the world's largest scoreboards, add a deck with cabanas and pools, or make other stadium upgrades if there are plans to move the team in several years.

I am waiting for the roller coaster upgrade!

So 28 NFL teams are in TV markets with at least one other major sports league. How successful are those teams at keeping fans away from baseball, basketball, and hockey games played on Sundays?

 

Jacksonville, Florida 13th biggest (population) city in America in 2013 (estimate 842,583).

They're not really paying much attention to what's going on here, especially with the investment Khan has made both in the stadium and in the city itself.  What they think they're entitled to is completely irrelevant.  Even the stadium proposal they're floating is going to be severely underfunded.  They're losing their team and they aren't getting another one. 

One of the few cities with a population decline (-0.27%) at (estimate 318k for 2013) ranked 58th biggest city in America (Population).  The city is on the decline.

All jokes aside I couldnt see a owner wanting to relocate a team there when they have so many other choices that far exceed it (Heck Mexico City would way better than St. Louis proably safer too).

Not sure I understand what you mean. For a team to relocate that team needs the approval of the owners (24 out of 32 votes needed for approval, I believe). So, Goodell won't be the fall guy for this one.

From what I read previously "Silent Stan" may not have the backing to get the 24 votes. But it won't matter because he still will move the team anyway similar to what Al Davis did with the Radiers in the early 90's.


In regards to the article its more in reference to a bad image on Goodell's behalf if a team moves and then is faced with litigation on end.

It's my understanding that changes were made to NFL by-laws since the days of Al Davis. I still think any Rams move would need approval of the owners. If Stan is able to move otherwise I'm not sure how Goodell gets blamed.

 

Same thing with the Chargers. Not sure how Goodell is supposed to stop the Chargers from taking legal action, but I guess we'll wait to see if it actually happens. From what I've read Goodell seems to be on pretty solid ground with the owners.

So we rank 21st in attendance last year. I wonder how much the London game figures into that b/c you would think that Dallas is going to be a big draw at Ever Bank as well? I always tell those who believe what they heard in the media that if Jags are moving b/c fans don't go to the games that we out rank several other teams, so shouldn't they move before we do? Considering the product on the field these last few years you can't questioned the support of the fan base here in Jax.

It doesn't factor at all because it only factors the people who showed up at OUR stadium. Do your homework my friend because you should know this already because the London situation only factors in our bottom line revenue not people per game.
