Bradley & Lageman say O-Line played well vs. Houston on 1010xl

Quote:That stat is a little deceptive. They only count as a "win" when Watt personally gets a stat, regardless of whether or not Bortles got off a clean throw. It's certainly possible to slow Watt down with a double or triple-team, but it doesn't do great things for the QB's protection against everyone else. It's ultimately a fail by Ryan O and BCC We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I watched the game. I saw free runners coming right at the QB. In the second half they couldn't block the texans defensive line. Hence why we got shut out in the second half. Blake had no time to throw the ball almost the entire second half. He often had less than 2 seconds in the pocket without a defender running right at him. This has been a theme all year. Again, zero details. A theme for you.

Quote:Not sure what game Gus & Lageman were at but from the looks of their comments, it wasn't at Sunday's game. On another note, it's "official"....the Jaguars are now dead last in the NFL Power rankings, The good news is that they have nowhere else to go but up. I think all of us are confident that will happen. The only question is when and will it be fast enough to suit our taste? I challenge you to go rewatch the game and see if your opinion satsy the same. Watch every pass play enough times to watch each lineman. I can tell you that I was nearly shocked at how wrong my opinion was regarding pass protection. BB has a decent pocket and adequate time to throw way more than I initially thought. Also, you will notice that the majority of pressure on BB comes through the TE, RB, and FB whiffing (or IMO bad play calls i.e. naked bootleg). The O Line can definitely do better and had a few plays where they missed assignments/communication. But, to say they sucked and call it a fact is just not accurate. Quote:The bar is so low with this team that "played well" or "good" is definitely not the same as it would be for many other teams./\ this
Quote:Thanks for the info. I haven't got to review a ton of plays yet. Did you just tell NYC to watch the game and "You'd be surprised" and then come back and say you hadn't actually watched the whole thing yourself? Cmon Man! We do nothing to mitigate the opposing team's best players.
No pain, no gain.
