Simple Yes or No....Is Bradley The Guy

Quote:Their record.. The thing that matters most. Ask Brady what he thinks about manning's stats. Or does he care about his wins and rings... It's so nice how you like to pull out once a generation GOAT type players to bash this bunch of kids. First Favre, now Brady...hell, why don't you go dig up BIll Walsh and ask him about his 4 trophies? “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Yes.... for now. When Dave picked Gus to be the HC it seemed like the best choice given the options available. We needed a head coach 'now' and you can only hire who's willing and available. Understanding that, I think Gus was the man for the job.... and still is, unless the team proves that he isn't 'gettin' 'er done'. Have we reached that point? I don't think so; we're still only two years into a total rebuild. No one should consider dumping their head coach after only two seasons into a total rebuild given what Gus has had to work with.
I y'ams who I y'ams and thats all I y'ams...

What do you care more about stats or wins/Super Bowl wins? ![]()

Quote:Until I hear it from the coach or GM no one posting on this board knows what the plan is. Yes, I heard them say their plan was to build through the draft, but that is the extent of it. To my knowledge, at no time did they say it was a 3 year plan to be playoff contenders. At no time did they say we will struggle for 2 years then in year 3 we will be contenders. Not once did they say we will continue with youth and inexperience for the first two years with no improvement then judge our results in year 3. It may not be directly from the Head Coach or General Manager, but read the answer from John Oehser to the question posed by Ronnie from Jacksonville. You can read the column if you want, but here is part of the answer. Quote: There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

I care about getting to the point where winning like the Pats is the norm. And your perceptions aren't necessarily facts. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

So - he's clearly outlined the 2013 and 2014 off seasons as focused on draft with "supplemental" free agency acquisitions - and he has now said that the coming offsesason would be the time to ramp up the FA activity. So - whether it's a 3 year plan or a 5 year plan or a plan with no defined period - he clearly had a plan for the first three years. -quoted material: http://bills.buffalonews.com/2013/12/15/...an-nfl-gm/ We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Who should we've brought in that would've made this year better? I really can only think of 1 or 2 guys who could be part of the solution who we could get to come here. Keeping a few of our own would of been a start I guess. blowing up the team so dramatically kind of made the season hopeless. We are basically fielding a preseason squad and it shows. We all knew that oline should of been addressed more than just Beadles and hoping Joekle could just step in and dominate. You said no one could tell you the team was improved. They are. I want the wins to happen. I wanted to have 3 or 4 by this point. I expected it. I'm mad it hasn't happened. It doesn't mean the team hasn't improved.

We all knew that oline should of been addressed more than just Beadles and hoping Joekle could just step in and dominate. But we've been over that already. No one except the over priced D.Smith was willing or worth keeping. We had 3 guys here on Oline they thought could contribute and that bombed, but we have what looks like 2 guys in the middle from the draft with a lot of potential. We can't set our eyes on the short term when the team is building for the longer haul (by their own statements). “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

He's certainly given me reason to doubt this year, but with such a ridiculously young roster - I'm patient enough to wait before judging him too harshly. I like him and hope he is, but results will decide his fate, as of now I'd say no.

I dont know...why cant there be a happy medium between building with an eye on the future while remaining competitive. If the majority of these young guys dont pan out then we are rebuilding forever. I guess we will find out next year |
