I don't know, Ryan Mallett looked pretty freaking good yesterday and had complete control and looked comfortable in the offense yesterday. TMD might've finally been right, because if Mallett can consistently play like that, then Houston has found their starting QB.. And it only cost them a 6th round pick.

That's the same way I felt watching the game.

 

I figured the browns would do a better job, but I'll give the texans credit, they came out of the bye like a team should, focused. Hopefully the Jaguars can do the same.

i  believe (not entirely sure) that poster is actually who used to be TrindonHolliday or something like that. He changes his name a lot because he comes on here and says really ridiculous things about how great the texans are, everyone makes fun of him and he takes on a very TMD like stance defending his dumb ideas. TMD likely is just trolling, this guy believes he is actually right.

One game won't tell us who Mallett is yet. Let's see what he can do with a few more games once opposing DC's get some game tape to plan against him. I will say it is refreshing to see someone under center who knows the playbook and can smoothly run the offense. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Did you even watch the game or are you just looking at the stat sheet? Because if you actually watched the game Alfred Blue despite having a good game was NOT the spark plug that drove the offense.. Ryan Mallett was firing bullets out there yesterday..

So clearly you didn't watch the game or you're simply not willing to give credit where's credit is due.. It's okay, we haven't even played the Jags yet, so you'll be able to at least see two games. He wasn’t just a caretaker Sunday. Did we run the ball.. Yes we did..but we also did in previous weeks with Foster (who's 2nd in rushing) and that didn't translate to success. The difference yesterday (on offense) was QB play.


Mallett's arm opens up the complete playbook whereas we were restricted with Fitzpatrick and even Schaub under Kubiak. As he gets more reps, I only expect to see that playbook open up more.


Just say it, the guy had a great first start.. We'll see where it goes from there.
