Which restaurant would you eat at for life if you had to?

Quote:The Hendricks Ave location was my favorite. We just got a new Mexican restaurant near me, which is amazing considering how sparsely populated my area is. Great prices and very good food. Whenever I try a new Mexican restaurant I try to get a few minutes with the manager or owner, to politely pick his or her brain about what they feel are their specialties and also what and how they cook for themselves. I'm fascinated with how other cultures, especially those in poorer countries, can use limited resources, waste no part of a vegetable or animal, and create delicious food.

Fish heads in a pot is a common sight on my stove.

I'm sure the goldfish that are left are very worried.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food but, Rosy's in Mandarin is very good traditional Mexican food.

They are a nice, family-owned, place with good food and everything is reasonably priced.
Really? I live in Mandarin and it's the best that I've found behind Don Juan's. La Nop is garbage.

Quote:For mexican, Moe's sucks. Tijuana Flats ain't too bad. But Moe's is just a glorified more expensive Taco Bell. La Nap is good too.
Ugh, Moes isn't "Mexican" it's a local Chipotle... La Nop > Taco Bell > licking dog hind parts.

Quote:We've been to Rosy's once and decided we would never visit again.

Someone mentioned Casa Maria and its pretty good
What happened? The handful of times we've been the food has been good... the service..meh.

As far as fine dining goes, it's not something I have done extensively but, the times I have it's been incredible. Sure, the portions aren't huge but it's about the flavors and the technique. My Wife and I went to Aureole in Mandalay Bay for a Wine/food pairing thing. It was INCREDIBLE. little slivers of fish with truffle, blah blah blah, and the perfect wine to compliment each course. It cost close to $400 for two people but, was the most incredible things I have ever ingested.

A one pound burrito from Del Taco after a night of drinking goes high on my gastronomical delight list.

There's a small mexican place in green cove, complete hole in the wall. Crazy looking decorations inside, shotty tables and chairs, but some of the best mexican food I've ever had.. I forget the name of the place, but I know someone here who does, and maybe they'll provide the name.. I could google it, but I doubt google would even recognize it as a restaurant haha

More Fajita Nachos, poor favor

Been there a few times as well and the name escapes me. Its a block in front of ronnie's, right on 17. I still prefer La Nop over it, slightly.

Two of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever eaten in are in Alabama, of all places. In two different cities, Birmingham and Huntsville.

The absolute best Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten in was years ago at The Cadillac Bar and Grill in downtown San Francisco. I doubt the place is still there. It was amazing.

Yes, typically much less crowded. And every now and then they have someone playing some live music.
