Kampman tore his left ACL with the Pack, followed by his right here. Most orthopedic specialists put recovery at approximately 6 months with vigorous rehab.

Quote:Well, never mind that it was his OTHER knee than the one that was hurt when they signed him. You really think that was just coincidence that he tore the other one right after his first tear? Quote:You really think that was just coincidence that he tore the other one right after his first tear? I don't know. Can you give me medical evidence or are you just talking out your piehole? I'm pretty sure that I know. ![]()
Quote:You really think that was just coincidence that he tore the other one right after his first tear? Its actually something that has happened quite a few times. Its speculated that because an athlete is focusing so much on strengthening the one knee, the other one is weaker in the end by comparison, and sometimes results in tearing ligaments in the other one in short order after a return. Thats why they suggest to work the other knee just as hard in the training to keep them both balanced on the workoad/ strength. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Not exactly sure why we're flaming TMD for this. Jaguars fans should know especially after seeing guys like Manuwai and Kampman try to come back too soon that major knee surgery isn't something you can rush back from. Colvin's recovery has been pretty remarkable and almost seemingly too good to be true. I really, really hope that the team is using the utmost caution with Colvin. We'll see what happens. Thats how I see it too.
Rod Woodson coming back from in 19 weeks to play the Super Bowl is remarkable. Peterson rushing for the 2nd most yards in league history is remarkable. A guy PRACTICING with a shot at playing this year is football.

The best thing we are hoping for is he is fine once he starts to play. Im pretty sure by now his knee is almost or is at full strength he needs to catch up a little bit, but I think he will play week 12 after the bye week and he will come out giving Andrew Luck some problems! Lets hope for the best!

Quote:Examples? Aaron Kampman, Domenik Hixon, Thomas Davis, Sam Bradford, Marcus Lattimore, Frank Gore. There are tons of guys who have have back to back ACL tears.
6 months is the expected return time from ACL surgery.

The point is, people have been wrong before. ACL injuries aren't something players typically come back from and light the world on fire. That's all I'm saying. I want Colvin to be the best player he can be. I'm simply speculative that he can be that this early after recovering from an ACL. Not sure why this opinion is considered sacrilege.
Was he a dominant player in college before the injury? I know he was a 1st round grade but what is the skinny?

Quote:So I never saw an answer on why a 1-6 team...any 1-6 team...would 'rush' anyone back. ummmm i dunno....because thats something someone might do who's starting to feel the heat to have to win after his 5-18 start??,,,, maybe?....
It's too early to be ripping each other over this. Once the 21 day window closes, the decision will be made on whether to activate him or let him sit until next year. The early practices aren't likely to be too strenuous and aren't going to put him at any risk. The team, at 1-6, would be silly to do that and they aren't stupid.
What he does in days 14-21 will be the real barometer. Then we can amp it up.
