Hurns to open season as the WR3

#81

Quote:I think Hurns starting out at the 3 is a good decision, he's going to see the field  a lot even as the 3rd guy because we run quite a few 3-wide sets and he's earned it through his preseason play. Ideally he keeps it up throughout the regular season.

The guy is going to get plenty of playing time. From what we saw in the preseason, I think he will be productive. Glad we found him.

I look forward to the four receiver set when CS3 ,AR15, Lee, and Hurns will be on the field! Should be very explosive! And when Blake does get out there, hopefully it's Christmas comes early.

Quote:And neither has Bortles, yet that doesn't stop you, I, or anyone else from clearly seeing that Bortles has more talent than Henne (and many other QB).

Just like here, in that same eye test, Hurns > Shorts.

I know this makes you and a few others upset.

That still doesn't negate the fact that Henne is the best option to start the season with at QB in the eyes of people who actually have insight based on something more than what ESPN is spoon feeding them.

Eye tests are great right up to the point where the real season starts and all the practice games are irrelevant.  We all hope Hurns looks good, but there's no guarantee.  Ask a host of camp wonders at WR who disappeared when the season started.

The funny thing here is that once again, being the drama queen you are, you think someone is going to be upset if a player they're rooting for succeeds.  I don't even know where to begin with just how stupid that comment was, but considering the source and that big brain of yours, not really surprising.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You've certainly been doing exactly that.  No agenda from you, right?

Quote:Please don't act like this fan base has something against Hurns.  The guy who every single person has been praising since OTAs.

You didn't discover Allen Hurns chachi.
Exactly.  The diva is proving once again why people don't take him seriously.  He makes idiotic comments like that to try to bolster his case because he's so blinded by this moronic agenda of his.

Quote:I never ever stated I discovered Hurns. I didn't expect him to make this fast of an impression when we added him as a FA. At that point, I figured his season last year in Miami was somewhat fluky.

I'm just one of the few that quickly see/ willing to acknowledge that he's good enough right now to start as one of the 2 outside WR's.

Others are stuck in Shorts'ville.

Everyone has been talking up Hurns since the start of training camp.  You're the only one stuck in "Shortsville", another idiotic comment.

Your expertise ends the minute you take off the apron and the hair net.

Quote:Im not sold yet. A few good games in preseason and he should be at the top of the depth chart? I like Hurns but he won't even be at 3 long now that A Robs back. But but I know Hurns>>> shorts lol..
Consider the agenda.

The people that are big Shorts fans will. We have a sect of this fanbase that becomes so attached to "their" favorite" players that it trumps their rooting for whats best for the team. We saw it with MoJo and we see it with Shorts, (albeit to a MUCH lesser extent at this point). To act like that sect is non existant is just typical you.

The idiocy continues.

You're just flailing away now.  Pathetic. Typical you.

Quote:Consider the agenda.

You don't need an "agenda" to get that Hurns is better/ more talented than Shorts....just a pair of objective, functioning eyes.

People biased in favor of Shorts will never see it though.....or will only come around when its beyond obvious.

Your agenda has less to do with Hurns and more to do with your hatred of Shorts.  Any player you have on your hate list becomes a target of your obsession in any conversation.

You really don't understand how it works to be a fan of a team.  I guess you Eagle fans just suffer from myopia.

Thats beyond stupid. If Hurns wasn't producing at the level he is, it wouldn't matter what I said for or against him or SHorts. The bottom line is Hurns is PRODUCING at a level that is higher than what we've been seeing from Shorts over the last year. Thats what its about.

You cite this "agenda against Shorts" because you cannot reasonably argue that Shorts has looked better than Hurns. So its all you got.

Since it's sooo obvious name these people that would be upset to see Hurns succeed.

Achilles for one...he drives the Shorts bandwagon. He'll deny it of course, but the implication in all of his posting is strong.

No matter how you want to twist and turn and tap dance around it, Hurns (and for that matter Lee and Robinson) have zero...count em zero...games of REAL NFL experience.

People were vehemently against trading Mojo away in 2011 when some fans were calling for it as they saw the end of his prime years getting close.

The Jags were not a winning team at that point with or without Mojo, so the draft pick(s) that could have been gained from trading MoJo would have been helpful for the future.

But there was a sect that would act as if you were taking their firstborn away from them by merely suggesting such a trade. (at that time).
