Quote:I'll use your point about Solo as the character having the best character arc. Why? Who was he when the film started, who was he when he fell off the bridge? I'd all you have to say is "he had the most exposure not that you would know derp"

Clearly the 3 act thing went over your head so you resulted in throwing out insults like the heavy breathing mongoloid you are.

And you literally broke nothing down about why you liked it or made you feel the way it did.

I'll be back though in a week or two when I see it. Maybe I can help you fill in the holes your comprehension has left empty

Don't bother.  Not sure anyone cares.  You certainly haven't proven to me you'll have anything intelligible worth sharing, even though you've proven you'll share it anyway, much like a monkey flinging poo at the zoo.  Not nearly as valuable to others as the monkey believes it to be to himself.

Neophytes and can try to force fit the "three act" model where it isn't applicable, but it's not necessarily wise to assume it always fits.  There's a larger story at play than you know, but then that's what happens when one feels compelled to comment on films and film elements they know nothing about.  Other than what google or wiki may have "taught" them.  Using language doesn't equate to knowledge of the subject.  But then, I'm sure your're reminded of that by those you engage with on a daily basis.

Quote:What are you a screen writer? Sounds like you don't want to enjoy the movie so you won't, congrats I guess?

Obviously not.

I'll add this, too for anyone on the fence about 3D/non-3D...

3D is a plus, but I didn't feel like it was all that necessary.  The opening crawl was cool, there was a star destroyer static image that was gimmicky but pretty impressive, and some of the dogfight/chases were nice, as was one shot of Rey descending a rope while scavenging.  But in all I didn't think it added much nor did it take anything away from the film itself.

Some of the action was too fast for 3D to be effective.  IMAX may be better, but I didn't come away with the impression you "HAVE TO" see it in 3D.  I chose it just because that was the show that fit my schedule.
