I'm curious as to whether you actually showed them many more properties? Seems odd that they would only look at the few they did. I have always assumed that they just trimmed the amount shown down for the program? Is that true.

It really depends on the buyer, inventory, etc... they do that for the show though because you can only fit in so many properties in 24 minutes. The property I sold them you wouldn't be able to find now because the market has changed. They got a really good deal. Those were built in the 70's I believe. It's so funny that what I take for granted being here for so long and to them it is paradise.

HGTV did a wonderful job showcasing Jacksonville's Beach. Yes, they are built in the 70's. I probably showed them 6 or 7 properties. The inventory for what they were looking for was really low so we really didn't have the option to look at a ton of places. We show less advertisements to registered users. Watched the show last night, good job! How long ago was this episode filmed? Is this show the same as House Hunters...meaning they had to have already committed to purchase a specific property before the show is filmed?

That was a nice price you got them. I've heard it's starting to become a sellers market again (or maybe listers are just pricing right?) Great job on the tube. I'm sure I would have dorked it up bad. How was that experience? Fun? Painful? Did I see a little gray hair or was that just the glare off the lights?

Quote:No, you got them a really good deal. Those are called "platinum hi-lights" in show business!

Quote:Those are called "platinum hi-lights" in show business! I didn't shave for about 10 days a couple of months ago. It was shocking how hi-lited my face was with platinum. Quote:No, you got them a really good deal. Lol, definitely gray hair. Actually, it is much more gray in person then it was on camera. Grays started coming in at 17-18. Definitely a sellers market under $300,000. Over a $1 million it is still a buyers market. $300,000 to $500,000 it is more of a normal market, but slightly leaning in the sellers favor. Also depends on the area too. Mandarin, Westside, Southside and Beaches have really, really low inventory. Prices are probably up 18% or so since January of 2012. It was fun, stressful, tiring and hectic. Any scene you did whether you nailed it or not you had to do 3 or 4 times. Also, when I was in the chair talking about the different properties, we literally had about 20 minutes to get that scene done. I could see rain cloud/storm coming so there was a lot of pressure to get everything in since it was our last day. It was a great experience. I got more comfortable as the days went on. Quote:haha loving the beard JT! I knew they bought the bigger one! congrats on the sale. Thanks! I was going for a hard not to recognize look ![]() |
