For anybody wondering what other coaches and general managers are saying about picking a quarterback in the draft, check out these tidbits from their press conferences.
It was quarterback smokescreen day: Lovie Smith said the team will consider a signal-caller at pick #7. (Translation: Trade with us!) <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">Cleveland Browns general manager Ray Farmer said the team could throw a "curveball" at the position. <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);"> <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">And Bills coach Doug Marrone admitted that the Bills could go in any direction at quarterback in 2014 in free agency or the draft. Not a good sign for EJ Manuel. <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);"> <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">Not a smokescreen: The Bears talked about drafting a quarterback to back up Jay Cutler if Josh McCown bolts. <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);"> <p style="font-family:arial, verdana, helvetica;color:rgb(34,34,33);">"With the supply and demand at quarterback, Carson (Palmer) at least puts us in the position where you don't have to force, and when I say force, you're sitting at 20 or wherever we are in the draft, and feel like we have to have one," Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said.
Connor Shaw put up a picture earlier and it said "met with Ace Sanders team today! #Motivated" And it was a jaguars backpack with his name on it.
In my opinion, barring any injury, he's going to be the steal of the draft
Shock the world

A lot of people talk about Manziel’s arm strength negatively, but I don’t see why. He has a very strong arm. From what I’ve seen, in terms of pure arm strength, I’d put him second above Bridgewater
and behind Mariota. He is able to throw the ball for chunks of yardage at a time through the air, and honestly he could probably throw it a whole lot further if he put his weight behind it (he has footwork issues which I’ll address later). One thing I was also pleasantly surprised with was his touch. He knows how to control the arc of the ball pretty well, but it’s not fantastic. I would also put him second in this category, with Mariota at third (Bridgewater is far and away the best touch passer in the country.) Anyway, I digress. He is also, as you can see from the statistics, very accurate. 80% accuracy against the best team in the country isn’t normal. It’s very good.
Quote:Why isnt this kid talked about more, i dont see many flaws with his game??? He never lost at home and threw for about 25 TDs and 1 interception. Has the heart of a lion.. But he's kinda small so.....
Shock the world
Quote:He never lost at home and threw for about 25 TDs and 1 interception. Has the heart of a lion. So is Johnny Manziel, so there must be another deterrant.
Quote:So is Johnny Manziel, so there must be another deterrant. I was being facetious. I obviously don't care that he's only 6 feet. Kid is a winner and IMO literally the Russell Wilson of the draft meaning he will make the throws you need him to make while making a few spectacular plays a game that's puts the team in position to win. Would be an unbelievable steal in the fifth round.

Good news for A.J. McCarron and Jimmy Garoppolo fans: They will throw at the combine.

Quote:Yes im allowed to insult players and coaches who arent here nor read this... insulting other people on here is quite different Quote:My sig is talking about convos between people on the message board... I didnt think that would need explaining. No, you need to explain that. You need to explain why you feel like you are entitled to special treatment, but are allowed to dole out insults and terms of denigration to other people. Simply because those people aren't on a message board doesn't mean that societal norms aren't in place. Again, you aren't special, and you don't deserve the double standard that you are trying to establish for yourself.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! |
