Tell me how Louisville, which used to be in the Big East, is still in a BCS conference, and will be in the ACC next year, is a small school. If you want to talk about small schools stick to the second round.

 

Louisville isn't a small school.

 

 
Okay please listen everyone who does not understand these terms. I'm only going to explain this once.
 
"Small school" does not refer to the size of the school's buildings, campus, or students. It means that the school is not a part of a 'major conference', which refers to those conferences that receive an "automatic berth in one of the five BCS bowl games". The BCS and non-BCS designators generally refer to what is known as "power conference", with others schools that compete in NCAA Division I called smaller schools or "mid-major" conferences.
 
Do you understand so far? 
Now, next year when the BCS becomes playoff system, the ACC(formerly the Big East, and where both Teddy and Bortles play), will NOT be considered a "power conference" according to the popular definition. In other words, the AAC will not have not have automatic entry into that football playoff. While the Big 10, Pac-12, ACC, Big 12 and SEC will. 
 
Now why in the world do you think that would happen? Because they play lesser competition and everyone knows it. It is why an undefeated Louisville or undefeated UCF would and could never have passed an undefeated Bama or Oregon in the polls. 
And this is also why Rutgers, Maryland, and now Louisville too are all leaving the AAC next year. In other words, next year, Louisville will be playing in a major conference, against real competition, and will be considered a 'big school' like Clemson, FSU, etc. Not this year though.
