Who is our QB next year?

Quote:The "culture of winning" is a complete [BAD WORD REMOVED] argument if you ask me. You get better as a team by getting talented players, and good coaching. We have the coaching, now we need the talent.

Winning games this year has no effect at all on what happens next year.

Because we know you can't get talent after the 10th (or whatever) pick in the draft.

How can I argue with that bear?? If henne is around next season I'd rather see that bear as our QB. His passer rating will suck, but probably won't get sacked at all.

My prediction: Henne starts the season if we pick McCarron in the 2nd or Bortles in the 3rd. If we get Manziel or Carr in the 1st, they start.

If Bortles comes out  - I doubt he'll last to the 3rd.

If he blows out his bowl game he will go in the first. Just watch. On another note Carr is having some issues against this Utah state team. He also throws every 5-7 yard ball at 90 miles an hour in 40deg weather Confused

C'mon.  If Teddy drops, you'd totally take him right?  Can't be that anti-Bear.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

while a lot of it is speculation just go on YouTube and look up the common names on ESPN and NFL.com and check out the full games not the highlights. Scouts look at entire film not just the good and it'll give you kinda an insight on what to expect. The more I watch Carr the more I see someone who has trouble with blitzes and seems to struggle without time in the pocket

I'm not anti-bear. Bear would be good if we went read option. I mean whose gonna tackle a 450 pound black bear??? That's a TD on every play right there.

Another effect of winning is that the QB conversation has expanded dramatically. Before the wins it was all Teddy this and Teddy that, now it's all about Carr, Bortles, Manziel, McCarron, Fales, etc. It's all good stuff.

If Mallett couldn't play, BB wouldn't keep him. Simple as that. BB would not waste a roster spot on an inept QB- you just know that he's got a contingency plan geared to Mallett's strengths and capabilities and that Mallett can perform well in it. I still think McCarron is a born Patriot and a lock to go to them if he's there at, well, 32.

Even with all the recent speculation, I think Bortles stays in school. If he does come out, I think he'll require a first round pick. None of this 2nd or 3rd talk.
