Tahj Boyd watch

Quote:Say goodbye to Teddy. There's no way he's not the first overall pick.

If ATL gets the first pick, Clowney will be the top pick.  That is the only scenario where Clowney goes #1, however.

Otherwise, I'd agree.

I haven't watched much of Carr, admittedly, but for right now, I'm strongly considering Boyd my second rated QB this year. Has the deep ability of Mariota, with much more consistency, and is extremely tough. Great release, and gets through his progressions well.

Something tells me that Boyd will be a first round pick. I would have never thought EJ Manuel would be a first round pick, but he was, and he's not that bad as a rookie, either.

I think Boyd is the fourth QB off the board next May.

Teddy, Manziel, Mett, then Boyd, followed by either Carr or Bortles if he declares.  I think Mariota stays in school.

I actually agree with your order.

Teddy will go first cause he's a stud.

Manziel second because of his boom-or-bustiness.

Then Mett cause of his physical upside.

Then Boyd because of his consistency and production.

I certainly agree with that.

I hope he gets a Senior Bowl invite and attends. For that matter, I hope Teddy gets one and does as well.

Teddy has already said he won't attend.

No. Last year two juniors (linemen, I believe) were allowed to participate.

If Boyd finished the season strong, he'll be the 2nd or 3rd qb taken. I don't buy into the Mett hype. 3rd round at best for me.

apparently last year was the first time it ever happened and it was because they had graduated already.

I am not sure what Teddy's standing is as far as academics.

I wouldn't touch Mett before round two, but there's going to be a team that drafts him in round one hoping he's Joe Flacco 2.0.

He graduates this December. Or at least he will be done with classes by then.

He does look like Flacco, honestly. Although, I think he (and Flacco) are game managers.

Alright, it's the 4th Qrt, and your team is down by 7; this is the perfect opportunity to show what you're made off.

Huge 3rd down run for Boyd.

Excellent pass dropped by Watkins, then scrambles for 12 hard yards for a first on third down.

Straight clutch.
