Was the tank plan in effect before the start of the season?

Quote:I 100% believe the tank plan was in effect before this season started

Then, for the love of god, why are you acting like you're surprised with how the season is going?!

On Wisconsin.

I hope you're right.

The only thing taht can derail this is the Jags pulling a Jags and winning a few late season games, and the Bucs....

Because he has to be angry about something.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:I guess the Colts were idiots then when they tanked for Luck....

oh wait, no, they won the division in Luck's first year and have already knocked off Seattle & previously unbeaten Denver this season.... :whistling:
Luck is the one example of it working.

Again look at all of the big name QB's in the NFL.  Most are not top 10 picks or not even 1st round picks.  I know you are gun ho for teddy but there are 0 guarantees

People really need to hop off the Johnny Manziel bandwagon.  He's an immature, shorter version of Tebow.  Their fans are about the same.  (immature, not short just to clarify.  Some of them may be tall)

The eyes are on the prize right now.  It's not a tank.  But this season is nothing more than a season to evaluate what players we have.  He didn't plug in players to 'win games' like Gene Smith did because he knew that wasn't the answer.  That the culture had to be changed.  Because he knows we are too far from being competitive to make signings to win games and remain competitive afterwards.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Cause if it's true I don't agree with the stance and it's just wrong.

I guess I am just dumbfounded by how bad this team is

And Bridgewater per most accounts, and the eye test, is -  if not on par with Luck - is at least very close to the kind of prospect that he was.

This isn't Jevan Snead here.

And FAs are guarantees?

It's really easy for me to grasp why signing big free agent contracts in the first year of a total rebuild is a really bad idea.  How is it unclear?

Am I the only one who has no clue who Jevan Snead is, and why he keeps getting brought up?  A quick look-up says he was undrafted.  Kind of like Matt Scott...

Fixed it for you!

Good luck with your "spend a lot in FA" theory... The Dream Team Eagles send their regards.

Spending big cash on average free agents is not a recipe for long term success. Do people ever learn from what they see?

How many times already this year did you think the team was going to win. They haven't scored a TD at home yet or lost by less than 10. They are historically bad. They aren't just all of a sudden going to reel off wins.

Ask Dakota...he's the one that apparently recalls many on the message board posting about wanting to tank for Snead that year....

You can see who has a proven track record of success on the NFL level.

The draft is a lottery ticket

TB should have beaten the Jets in week 1 and actually look pretty competitive since Glennon took over. Doug Martin going down hurts though.

Snead was alot like Logan Thomas last year. He was supposed to take the next step and was a huge dud.

He had a good junior (?) year at Ole Miss and people thought he would be the next big thing.

He had a coaching change between his next to last year and last year.  Over the course of his last year, his stock plummeted, in what had to be the worst final season college campaign almost ever.

Basically, he was never heard from again.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

The 2nd half of the schedule becomes real easy.

Houston is in free fall, Tennessee is being exposed as average at best, Arizona, Buffalo & Cleveland have QB issues, and Indy will likely be resting their starters in week 17.

Meanwhile, Tampa's remaining schedule is loaded with opponents where I can't find a victory for the Bucs.
