Could be. Or  maybe throwing shoulder.  If it's painful to put velocity on a tough throw with a compact motion, an elongated motion is a natural compensation.

He was getting hit a lot early. That Baltimore game really made me think he was either hurt or regressing badly. His throws were terrible all day against them. Hope we can keep him clean, especially against Mack.

Unless he was injured in training camp his mechanics aren't because of injury. I got in trouble because I mentioned his mechanics looks worse than ever week 2 of the preseason, even while he was successful on his TD to Hurns and sideline pass to Arob.
