I liked Tyrod in the confines of that Bills team. I do not like him at the helm of a bad team. Remember the trucks and trailers comparison Stoner made. Tyrod is definitely a trailer, and the Texans are not a quality truck.

i can't see anything on Tape that says WIngard is better than Cisco, i do know Wingard is a lunchpail kinda guy, a urban kinda guy. so maybe he has gotten better this offseason more than we have seen in the last two years. we have seen some postive plays from him but mostly negative over the positive.

i look at the Defense in the back with

Jenkins/ Cisco
Henderson and Griffin
Allen, Jack, WIlson and Chassion

He's definitely done nothing so far to indicate he's worthy of unquestioned trust. He started off by trading away a young TE for peanuts, needlessly brought a coach with major red flags, drafted a RB in the first round, syphoned off starting reps from Trevor, etc.

There are NUMEROUS examples of people on this board being right and that’s not just 20/20 hindsight. Starting Wingard is the wrong move. Period. We have seen him get torched not just in pass coverage but in the run game too. He should be the last safety to play on this team.

Blind faith? It's true with any coach at that level. It's true with coaches at the collegiate level. You do know they're watching at every single practice, right? People here are basing their ideas of players on what reporters write. Reporters are at the same practices but don't see nearly as much as the coaches. Unlike reporters the coaches also know the players' assignments so know who did what they're supposed to or not.

Because it's a unique ability that not all have and he has yet to prove he possesses it.  Dave Coldwell didn't have it and neither did Gene Smith.  To assume success at the college level automatically translates into success at the NFL level is no more realistic for a HC/GM, than it is for a QB (enough said on that subject without mentioning any names).

Personnel decisions go beyond "talent" and there are multiple facets to consider, many of which are not supported by measurable statistics.  Justin Blackmon and Jalen Ramsey both had great "talent''.  

We all hope Meyer turns out to be great, but some of us aren't jumping on the bandwagon just yet.
