Quote:The irony of this is after Gratz was concussed in San Diego, everybody was all over McCray because he shut down Antonio Gates and a Pittsburgh receiver. What happened to that guy?

That's the $64,000 question. I think several things led to McCray being cut. He clearly lost the confidence of the coaches, he started making mental mistakes and was just flat out not getting better.

Add that to the fact that we have upgraded the secondary corps, and McCray became expendable.

I'm no fan of gratz, he's terrible on the corners and wr's beat him consistently when he's out on the edge.

But... He plays physical, and is not as terrible when he plays the slot receivers inside the hashes.

I hope McCray gets another shot with another team.

As for the Jaguars secondary, I like how they are looking. House, Ramsey, Colvin (when he comes back), and Prince are solid.

Jacobs and Werner the final 3 cuts of this cycle. Along with Sample to IR.

Really sucks to lose Sample, I guess we get another year of Josh Evans...Jacobs cut also surprising as he had been running consistently with 2nd team O and 1st Team STs.

Be interesting to see which 2 TEs they keep between Koyak Sterling and Bowman.

I feel like Sterling has made the team. He can play TE or WR and plays all over ST. I think it's down to Bowman and Koyack with the other going to the PS.

I like the idea of making him the 4th TE and Bowman on the PS.

(JT/Lewis/Koyack/Sterling)

Bowman has more upside, but Koyack seems to be well locked in to the various blocking assignments they've asked him to execute.

Unless they really feel Bowman would be poached, I'd keep Koyack for now.

I noticed Koyack getting reps with the first team offense Sunday. I think he's probably a lock.

Odrick is decent IMO.

Alualu should have been cut years ago.

Skuta could be cut and I wouldn't even notice.

Ham neck Henne is a superstar QB who will one day have his name in the Pride. No way he gets cut.

They each have different stylez~

Who can backup Thomas to a close cast of his play, and which guy can, more directly, fill in and play Marcedes' role in the offense when called upon?

That's! Ur answer~

Well, actually its a 2 part question, but.. whatever

^^^ Who do you think should play big end if we cut the starter and the backup? Just a question. Mind you, if you cut Odrick... you cut the leader in sacks for our team last year...

Seems a bit counterproductive to me.

Odrick is pretty good at his job. You don't understand his job, but that is not his fault.

Hmmm... I like just having two Leo's Ngakoue and Fowler both starting at ends.. Or slide Jackson out there and start Marks and Miller inside.

But then you give up the run contain from the big end position that both Odrick and Alualu are good at on first and 2nd downs. Odrick is a major part of why we did well against the run last year. Granted, Miller is a bigger part, but we need both of them there on traditional run downs.

Quote:That makes no sense. If a player is unemployed, any team can pick him up before the first cut down deadline.

Sure they can, but other teams might consider him not worth the effort to pursue considering he was cut in the first round.
