We can do this with simple yes or no questions:
One at a time.

 1) were there violent protestors in the Capitol on January 6 2021?
There was an attempted self coup and an insurrection

It was basically what insurrection looks like when attempted by [BLEEP] and losers.

Trump and his Allies in Congress who were helping with the plan are all UnAmerican Scum and history will remember them that way.

Yes, a very small percentage of those who entered the Capitol had ill intent.  Most were just angry over what they believed (rightly or wrongly) to have been an injustice.  Others were simply following the crowd.

Signed,
Sneakers, your humble Guardian of the Truth.

My claim was that 99% of them were there intending to disrupt Congress.  That photo catches them milling around because Congress was disrupted at that time.  I am not backpedaling.  I am proving my point.

You're a liar and you know it, so you have to be a bully on top of it.

LOL.  I know what your claim is, present your evidence to support it.

Evidence:
1) They went in when Trump said to go in,
2) They disrupted and messed stuff up while they were in there,
3) They chanted against Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi but not Donald Trump,
4) They tried to find and arrest Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi but not Donald Trump, but many of them just killed around once they realized that the counting of electoral votes was paused.
5) And they left when Donald Trump said to leave.

They were pro-Trump insurrectionists.

History is always being written and rewritten.
By 2028 Trump may look like a hero. There are many opportunities on the board, and this country is ripe for reform and renovation.
But even if Trump does a very good job during this term and creates a lot of positive changes, history will still remember how he violated his oath of office, particularly on January 6th 2021. History can forgive a man for his worst choices, but it does not forget them until the man himself is forgotten.

1. You were clutching at straws before, now you're just flat-out hallucinating.  Was Trump standing on the Capitol steps with a bullhorn calling the play?
2. No dispute that some did, but somehow you, and you alone know that 99% participated.
3. Wow!  Chanting, that's not exactly physical violence.
4, Many of them were just wandering around, taking pictures the ENTIRE time.
5. Irrelevant to your claim.

Do you understand the commonly held definition of "evidence"?

Donald Trump's words: "Big Protest in DC on Jan 6th. Be there. Will be wild!!"

According to Trumpers, that was an invitation to a peaceful rally.

Everyone who was there that day, and wasn't supposed to be there, knew they weren't supposed to be there. They either fought the police themselves, or watched others break through police lines, before they got in.

All of them were disrupting the certification of the election, and all of them were aware that they were doing so.  The various feeds on their phones were keeping them up to the minute on it. They were shouting Twitter updates to each other.

When there has been a riot, and the police are clearing it, they don't say "hey you're not actively rioting, looks like you're just taking pictures, you can stay." No. They send everybody home and they do not allow normal activities to resume until the area is secure and everybody who's not supposed to be there isn't there anymore.

Maybe some of the 17 FBI informants who entered that day, who weren't supposed to enter, maybe some of them were Biden voters. But all of the rest of the 2000 to 2500 were definitely Trump voters.

To anybody with no dog in the fight, these facts in the relationship between them are self-evident. Only somebody who needs to see Trump as a hero makes up excuses for them. It is sad that we find you in this fragile state, and ironic that you hide it by posing as a bully.

I am sorry that the world is scary and you need to have a hero in it. I suggest you start attending the religious institution of your choice and stay out of politics for a while. There are no heroes here.

I figure you're about 10 years older than me, but we both have a good 30 years left. History moves quicker than you think. One of us is going to regret the things we're saying today. Perhaps both of us.

You post insults and no actual responses.

The world witnessed the reality of Jan. 6th. The world witnesses you and your MAGA minions denying reality.

And DuvalPride gets to witness your devotion to a very unworthy man.

I think his cheeks are feeling a little chafed too.

Of course. The proud Boy shock troops all donned their orange beanies just before the attack so they could coordinate through the milling crowd of useful idiot MAGAts. Unfortunately for them, the Capitol staff led the congresspeople they were hunting to safety, and there were no victims to be found. Trump was unable to declare martial law, and the certification proceeded after the insurrectionists were ejected.

I don't really want to get dragged into this dumpster fire of a thread, but I think it's safe for Mikey to say that most people who went in the Capitol building were intending to disrupt Congress. The whole point of the protest was to show displeasure at the way the system handled the election. Where I disagree with Mikey (and where I think it's important to disagree), is that it's not insurrection to protest in a way that disrupts the process. MOST people in that building were not trying to overthrow the US government. It was first and foremost and attempt to remind the congress that the people felt unheard and ignored, and it's not ok to just trample on those feelings with zero repercussions.
