If Ramsey wants 23, which it seems like he does. Sample wouldn't give it up. Jalen would pay for it. Thats how these type of things work in the NFL

Not only that, 23 is currently taken by Sample, who likely makes the squad this year.

 

But you, like most people, get that.  The roster is at80 or so.  Numbers are going to be in short supply.

 

TMD has used this as another opportunity to contrive a complaint against the team, arguing that because the Jaguars retire numbers, Ramsey can't get the number of his choice.

 

Nevermind that only 3 numbers have been retired-Boselli, Brunell and Taylor.  Nevermind that of those three numbers, only one-Taylor-falls within the range of DB numbers.

As people have mentioned, buy number 23 off of Sample. Remember Sample changed his number after some training camp cuts. 

 

As for Jack, i think there was a reason he picked a number in the 40's as this number is eligible for DB's/RB's/ and LB's.

 

I like the number 49 better for him though since closest to a 50.
