Dumb move. Utilized improperly as a dumb big end.

The big end spot is dumb but Odricks more a 3-4 DE who can kick inside than a 3 tech so it made sense to put him there.

I've never understood the logic behind posts like this.  Just because the cap space is there it doesn't mean that it should be used up.

You don't understand the logic of someone saying how much cap space the Jags have?

I agree and the reason why I posted it because we can replace someone we've released with a better player.

@draftdiamonds Jared Odrick of the Jaguars was released with a failed physical designation

Looks like it wasn't the "tech" and utilization word salad after all.

It does if the team is going to be penalized for not reaching the salary floor.

Quote:Saves $8.5 mil in additional cap space.....

This was expected and important ! Not a bad player at half the price.

Time to cut Skuta and House. Not very good even at half of their current salaries.

I remember Belichick talking about Odrick before our 2015 regular season game against New England and saying he was always a tough player to deal with when he was in Miami. Wonder if he'll end up signing there.

Didn't you know? The team with the most cap space gets the trophy!

I'm shocked Odrick finally got off vacation to get the physical. Feels like he's always somewhere different based on his Instagram. Just like Julius Thomas I've always questioned how much he loves the game of football.

Offseason or not, Odrick is just a different cat.

Very different cat.

Not saying it's a bad thing, but it is a real thing.

Those flights to Toronto every week will be a lot cheaper.

FA Jared Odrick has filed $5.5M grievance vs. #Jaguars, who claim he voided guarantees by refusing checkups during injury rehab, per sources
