I hope he's learned his lesson this time. You go back to the whole hiring process after Urban Meyer and look at how long it took to start with Doug Pederson and end with Doug Pederson. Nobody wanted to walk into this situation handcuffed to the previous General Manager that had already built up a reputation of selling fool's gold or peddling sterling as silver. 

He has to get it right this time. In about eight weeks he needs to make an important decision for this team's future. Because I can tell you that future clearly does not have Doug nor Trent in it with their respective staff's. They all have to go. 


They quit. Cisco said the quiet part out loud. Our Superbowl was last week at home against the clots. They're done now until next year. Everybody's already thinking about their off season vacation plans. Hell, some of them are probably already booking cabin trips up into the mountains mid season when we get around week 17.

He is the reason they stayed in Jacksonville, which again, awesome. In terms of football, he's by far the worst owner in the league. He refuses to clean house because he lacks the "experience" to hire both a GM and coach. Which means, some stench is always retained.  I don't get it, he's been the owner since 2012, during this entire time he never has spent the time to do some damn research? How other teams hire, what makes a good GM, how to find candidates for GM, etc., just nothing. The guy is an egg head when it comes to football. GM's Caldwell and Baalke, HC's Mularkey, Bradley, Marrone, Urban, and Doug. ALL have been horrendous hires. Not one has been good. Can't forget the one hiring Coughlin and putting him above a GM causing immediate conflict either. Nothing, literally nothing, in terms of football he has made a good decision on in his entire tenure. 

Oh and the record reflects it, since becoming owner the Jags are 61-140. Worst in the league. Which also means we have had the highest average draft picks since as well, and nothing to show for it. Just pathetic.

I've been a big [BLEEP] Talker about Khan.  I think at one point I spent a month calling him Shat Khan...   Oh no, I called him Shat Con... LOL

But I've come around to him.  He's a fine owner.  I think he can turn this around.  But he needs honorble advisors.  Baalke isn't honorable.  Plus, at this point, he needs a committee.  He's an owner.  Football isn't that far off from running a business.  You need multiple points of view.  He needs to get himself a committee of experts to advise him.  Let them do the research and then bring their findings to him with the SWOT analysis.  Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunites, and Threats.  But a SWOT analysis is only as good as the person that you are getting the report from.  The more people that have equal stakes in the report will give you a better report. 

Right now it's only Baalke that's giving the report.  You fire his [BLEEP], and you bring in a team to run the audit.  It can't be just a 1 person analysis.  You have to have a team to come in and do the job.  Otherwise we'll keep getting these same stupid results.

In everything non football, YES Shad has been a good owner. Absolutely agree.

In everything football related, and I literally mean everything … Shad has been a disaster. Can anyone name one good FOOTBALL decision by Khan? Strictly talking about a FOOTBALL decision. End of day it goes through him on these GM/HC hires. Caldwell and Baalke? HORRENDOUS! Mike Mularky LOL… Gus bus freaking ice cream Bradley… Doug bologne Marrone…. Urban Oscar Meyer… Doug checked out Pederson. 61-140 owner record. 

I’m sorry but in every sense football, Shad Khan is utterly horrendous. 

He’s not going anywhere, so just have to hope we get lucky with a hire.
