Chip Kelly interviewing as OC
|
Quote:He says singlehandedly ruined Murray for a season by trying to turn him into a north/south runner instead of a downhill back that he typically is. Look at every other year hes been a HC, including SF with zero passing game and little talent. 4th in the league... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:This doesn't make much sense to me. Well, i guess we have to trust Marrone and TC....I mean in for a penny ...in for a pound right? And I must confess my impression of him was influenced by all the negative press he generated rather than anything that I took the time to really learn about him.

I meant team success, not success for individual players. I don't care if Ivory and Yeldon get 10 total touches the entire season, as long as we as a team are successful at running the ball.
I can't see why Chip Kelley wouldn't go to the Cal Bears. Seems like a perfect fit for him back in the Pac 12 North

The 49ers rushing stats are distorted since the got ~ 800 total rushing yards from their QBs. The only way I'd want Kelley is if we drafted Deshawn Watson.
Chuckling at all these excuses for making the Kelly idea a good one...
Anyone who has ever accused me of toeing the company line can all apologize now. Kelly sucks. The idea of him in Jax sucks. He belongs back in college like the coach before him in SF.

Quote:false and terrible logic. That's not my point. It's on record Blake already having a rapport with Hackett and each of them knowing what Blake's strength & weaknesses are. Bring in Kelly and the Jags have to change blocking schemes up front, decide if Hurns and Robinson are better suited for more vertical and deep seam routes. Then you have to decide if Yeldon has the ability to run north/south which eliminates the chance to draft Fournette or Cook. Can't just plug in a OC hope for the best, fire him if it dose the work out and try the next person. We don't have time to waste by guessing who will work and whatnot.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

Quote:Even if we decide to retain Hackett as coordinator, Blake's going to be learning a new offense. He's familiar with the terminology so the learning curb is not as steep.

Quote:But I thought his O needs quick reads and fast accurate throws?Yep. Bortles is already getting fellas killed cause his passes come 10 minutes too late. Hes gonna be a disaster in this system. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:That's not my point. literally the same thing was said when we hired Olsen.... and Blake and the offense had a great year in 2015.

Quote:He's familiar with the terminology so the learning curb is not as steep. Actually that's one of the things that differs a lot with each coordinator, even if they're running a similar offense. There would be a familiarity for how Hackett's operates though. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
