Jason Babin gone

I would like to see him back with us. He plays with attitude. Everyone involved knew that contract wasn't going to fly. The market will set his value.

Big Cat Country is reporting that Babin initiated his own release and is expected to re-sign w/ the Jags for a lower salary...

He wants to return.

Seems like he actually (GASPS!) likes living in Jacksonville.

He must feel confident in his ability to compete for a roster spot, otherwise I'd expect him to be looking.  Otherwise, this could be his last stop.  If we bring in Clowney or Mack, and perhaps another rush end or two (maybe even a James Gayle) I'm not sure their youth wouldn't push him out.  Especially if Branch takes further steps forward.

But then... this may be his best shot as any, if it may be one of his last.

One day I found some sort of blog he has on the TU site. Basically the same crap he posts here. That is one weird dude. I wonder if he is Dexter.

Quote:I don't think he's coming back. I also believe hovering over players and what's in their wallets is the exact thing free agents try to avoid. It is also the sort of decline you expect to see as a franchise sinks lower and lower like a ship that just hit an iceberg.

We need guys like Babin a lot more than they need us.

Remember Jason is not 4-12 now, the Jaguars are.

There's a small chance that he will return, but more likely he'll get a deal from a franchise with more class.

Bumped for the lulz.
LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

You fail to consider the facts.

Babin said he was willing to take less money to stay here. Now, he's G-O-N-E. He is a free agent and unlikely to ever play another snap for the Jaguars. As others state, his decision to void his deal means he was one step ahead of being cut by the franchise front office. He is now a free agent. The comprehensible fact is he is no longer a Jaguar.

A nice way to save face is to ignore what just happened and claim the door is open. A few days later and it all blows over real nice-like.

The facts are:

When the Jaguars were reaching the AFC Title game in the mid to late 1990s guys like Jason Babin were the norm here. Now they are the exception.

Babin lived up to his contract. He was productive and gave us a reminder of how it used to be. He has provided us a reminder of what a real NFL player is. We felt honored that he was here to play for us.

Wish Jason the best, but understand this simply is the same slashing action the Team Gene Regime used to create the problem (when there really wasn't one) in order to justify the solution they though they had figured out.

As indifferent as I am to this, it definitely caught me by surprise.

When Babin voided and immediately garnered interest from the Patriots, I thought he was gone. But he resigned with us.

Says a lot about the coach. First time in a long time that I've been genuinely excited to be apart of this organization under the position of "fan".

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
