Really disappointed in Bortles. Really inexcusable to make the mistakes he makes in his 3rd year

It's not his mechanics.

It's not his accuracy.

It's not his pre snap reads.

It's not his ball placement.

It's not his field vision.

It's not his decision making.

He has plus durability we think, and he is pretty athletic for a QB his size. Try to make a franchise QB out of that...

Looks like trash for 3 quarters then pads his stats in the 4th quater. Is not making the proper pre snap reads. Accuracy is below average. Mechanics are poor. He really has regressed since last year. No sense of urgency in fist 3 quarters.

Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.

1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle.

2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

All this talk of "regression" is a misrepresentation imho. He really wasn't that good last year, just bolstered by lots of fluky jump balls and a lot of garbage time stats. My eyes told me all along that we drafted a qb who needed to be trained on how to throw a football (among other fundamental flaws) and he can't. Very risky draft gamble at #3, a gamble that has lost. Let's stop wasting our time, we've totally sucked way too long.

He had streaks of quality play last year.

This year he's had about 7 quarters of good football spread through 28 24 quarters. It's diminished. He has regressed.
