Quote:Correct. Maybe he figured if he filibustered for 11 hours, that would make that matter go away? He's not a politician.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

Quote:Exactly. If he was innocent, wouldn't it be pretty easy to prove through the text? Question. What exactly did they ask him for, and what did he refuse to give them? And why would they need anything from Brady's phone if they already had the ball boy's phone?
Quote:Question. What exactly did they ask him for, and what did he refuse to give them? And why would they need anything from Brady's phone if they already had the ball boy's phone? Texts on one phone can be faked? It's hard to fake texts on someone else's phone.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:Maybe he and Gisele had some steamy sexting going on in his phone... That's what I'm thinking. Quote:Or another woman he doesn't want Giselle to know about. I always did feel the Wells report was missing a love triangle of some kind. Quote:I've seen this a few times. They let him cheat so they could make money off of this? Do you knwo how much money the NFL makes?! The fine money in this case is a drop in the bucket. Why don't they take away all cars so no one can speed? It's not like they don't know ahead of time that some people will do it if given the opportunity. Heaven forbid we set rules and allow people to be held accountable for following those rules. You might as well throw away the constitution. We shouldn't be giving people the freedom to make a concious decision to break the law. The Wells investigators caught Brady in several lies. If he was innocent there would have been no reason to lie.
Per a league source, Brady simply reiterated his denial regarding any involvement in or knowledge of whatever it was that John Jastremski and Jim McNally may have been doing with the team’s footballs. When pressed on certain facts relating to Brady’s potential knowledge or involvement, the answers were regarded by some in the room (i.e., some who aren’t paid to exonerate Brady) as not entirely credible.
Really? So Brady went in front of the Commish, apparently under oath, and told the same pack of clumsy lies. The dude is destroying his career. Let it go Tom.
Quote:Sheesh now we're talking about fake texts? Yeah...that's what we are doing. Or maybe it was just an observation?

Quote:I think Brady may win this. I'm not sure they have enough evidence on Brady. They never did. BUT... Goodell will never back down. The king does as he pleases. Reduction of one or two games max. And, if it's appealed to a real court and Brady wins... Goodell needs to go. His antics have been beyond ridiculous. He's gotten absolutely nothing right the first time. Constantly having to clean up and backtrack on his own mistakes.

Even if Brady was cheating on his girl Wells asked his agent to look at the phone and provide text only pertaining to the incident. I'm sure his agent wouldn't rat him out for cheating on his girl or the game.
Quote:62 pages for deflated balls, are you all serious!?! Just think of all the money the NFL wasted on the investigation and legal costs, when they could have simply enforced the rules during the game. And speaking of enforcing rules... no punishment has been handed to the Colts for their balls being found underinflated in the very same game... What that wasted money bought was interest. Hate and controversy sells. It's no coincidence the bump it gave ratings, and continues to put the NFL in the spotlight when there's little real NFL news out there.

Why do people not understand this really isn't even about the deflated balls anymore. His punishment is based off his refusal to cooperate.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:Why do people not understand this really isn't even about the deflated balls anymore. His punishment is based off his refusal to cooperate. Cooperate with what? What if the entire point of the Wells investigation was to get them to "fail to cooperate"? What effect did Tom Brady really have on the outcome of the Wells report? Are there really these magical texts out there that would convert his 248 page plot hole into a smoking gun? |
