Fowler after his pro day today: he would be surprised if the jags didn't pick him at #3.

he's going to be disappointed.

"Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, if he gets angry, he's a mile away and barefoot."
Quote:Interesting. Wonder if this means they would view Fowler as more of an OTTO than LEO. That's what I'm thinking.

Dan Hicken also said that Fowler believes he would be a good fit for Gus' Defense. He also mentioned that he would set the edge for Gus.
Tweet from Michael DiRocco (@ESPNdirocco) - Dante Fowler says he thinks the Jaguars are going to draft him. Spending night in Jax tonight. He says he has family in Jax area, too.

Quote:Jesus christ. I'm so sick of seeing this. Why would we draft Jared Odrick when we just signed Jared Odrick? Because that is who Leonard Williams is. I don't think people understand this. I do not understand your statement. Are you saying because we signed a 27 year old DE in free agency, we shouldn't draft one of the better DE prospects in years if he is available when we pick? some guy tweeted that Fowler had his hands on his hips during the pro day, and therefore, doesn't have good cardio. SMH
Personally I really like fowler, and feel he should be the pick. The Williams hype might make the choice interesting if they're both there at 3 though.
If we don't get an unbelievable trade offer I can't see us moving from 3, and especially if it means dropping out the top 10
Hands on your hips is an indication of decreased oxygen intake - you're bracing yourself against your body which helps your accessory breathing muscles to work harder.
Or, it can just be a habit.

NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock, one of the more respected draft analysts, called Fowler special and said he likes him as a "fit for anybody, including (No.) 1."
"I think he and (Southern California defensive end/tackle (Leonard) Williams are the two best defensive players in the draft and I think this kid has special ability," Mayock said. "It's two great football players and you have to see which kid you like better and how it fits your scheme, because they're both really good." Ill be dead honest, I'm not that high on Beasley. I am definitely on the Cooper, Williams train as far as staying at 3. But if we are to draft someone other than williams or cooper, i would rather get Dante Fowler. He seems a bit more polished and complete. I think he can play OTTO/ LEO and can make a more immediate impact. Beasley seems more like a guy that would have to adjust to the league more, that undersized pass rusher boom or bust guy.
No thanks on Beasley. Leonard Williams, Cooper or Fowler.

I'm on the Fowler train as well but Beasley would fit great in Gus' system too. What I think would be very interesting is if the Jags take Fowler at 3 and then turn right back around at 36 and draft a LEO prospect like Eli Harold from UVA if he's there. We could potentially be set at Otto and LEo for the foreseeable future.
